B.Tech. (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering (Automobile) - Batch of 2025

The college is very good for studying and learning new things. Teachers are good.
Placements: Around 40 to 50 students were placed this time. The highest package is 20 LPA, and the lowest is 4 LPA. Internships are very good. The college also provides internships within the college, pays students, and gives attendance. The college also gives some extra things and permission for internships outside.
Infrastructure: Facilities are very good, and the hostel is also good, but the food is not good. Wi-Fi is not working on the college campus.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful during exam time. This course helps students very well. Exams are not very much easy, though sometimes they can be very easy, and other times very hard. However, you can talk to teachers, and they can help you very well in college. Faculty is very good and has a helping nature with students. They even treat you sometimes and are available to help whenever needed.

Become a graphian with me.
Placements: I am currently studying at Graphic Era Deemed to be University and this university is better than any other university in Dehradun. My course is B.Tech and branch is mechanical engineering. Many students opt for this branch suppose 60 seats are there, out of 60. 55 students are placed. The average package is around 3 LPA - 6 LPA. The highest salary is 24 LPA. Top companies in mechanical engineering are Tata Steel, Wipro, Bajaj, and Mahindra. Internship opportunities are occurring in 3 years and I think around 60% of students are eligible for internships based on CGPA.
Infrastructure: Facilities in mechanical engineering are many as there is Wi-Fi on all the floors. There are labs for all the respective practicals. There are three libraries and classrooms are well-designed. As I am living in Dehradun so it is my home. I don't know much about hostel but I asked my friends the hotels are overall good. There are 3 hotels. We have three canteens, and sports are also available. There are medical facilities available for all the students.
Faculty: Teachers in my course are all good. They solve our doubts and they are also available when we call them for doubt-solving or have help with assignments. This course is good if the students want to build a career in technical branch. The opportunity is ready if you get a higher CGPA as competition is less in mechanical engineering. Semester exams are not so difficult but the end is tricky for those who aren't able to give mid-terms. Passing percentage is 24 marks out of 100 for end term and mid-term so no back papers.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in my technical skills and in cars. Best thing about this course is that the competition is very less in it and opportunities have increased in this course. Better this is that classrooms must be improved as there is only one Wi-Fi on the floor. There must be a separate Wi-Fi for each classroom, and the schedule must be improved with the timing of college.

I am satisfied because of faculty members and good placements in the year 2019.
Placements: Around 65% of the students got placed in our course in the last year. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA and the average salary package offered is 4.5 LPA. Top companies are Tata Motors and Ashok Leyland. Almost 68% of the students got internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure in our department are at the next level. The block where our department is placed is fully air-conditioned with high-speed Wi-Fi. The hostel was good, with a continuous supply of light and water. Sports facilities are good enough, and the mess is very good.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and have a good nature. They help everyone with any kind of difficulty. Teaching quality is of the next level. The course curriculum is appropriate, and it makes students industry-ready. It brings up students who like to do hard work.
Other: I have chosen this course because I was interested in the course I am pursuing. I wish there would be fewer hostel restrictions. Grafest takes place in our college.

Graphic Era University, a cool college for Rich Brats.
Placements: I was in automobile engineering course from 2010 to 2014. It was the first batch of automobile engineering. There were a total of 60 students in our batch and NO one got placement from our batch in 2014. Ashok Leyland, SKF bearings, and TVS Motors came to our college for placements but None of the students from my batch got selected. No student got any kind of internship in any automobile company from my batch. Only 4-5 students got placed in IT companies such as Wipro and Infosys from my batch. I do not consider it as placement because it was not our core field. Wipro and Infosys offered initial packages of around 3 Lacs per annum in 2014.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of Graphic Era University is really good the college has multiple buildings for different departments. There are two computer labs made inside different building to cater to the IT and CS students. There is a whole big building for library where most of the books are available for all the courses available in the college. Speaking about the hostels there are multiple buildings for girls student and boys students. All the girl hostels are inside the college premises whereas two or three boys hostels are built outside the college premises. Food in the hostel mess is just fine neither good nor bad. All the hostels have high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity. Our college have a dedicated medical facility as well as a sports facility. Apart from this our college has complete gymnasium and a football ground. Students in our college can also choose to go into NCC camps.
Faculty: Most of the teachers were really good at their subjects while some were just awful. However, this cannot be brought at the front end as this is same with nearly all schools and colleges in India. Teaching quality is where things go bad. Courses like automobile engineering requires strong audio-visual classes along with the special lectures from industry experts. We did not receive any such facilities where our learning process could have become better. Another problem with our course was very limited knowledge about the automobile engineering. Most of the syllabus was a straight lift from the mechanical engineering. For the first 3 years, we studied 95% same course as mechanical engineering students did. Curriculum was not industry ready. None of what we studied were asked in the interviews later after when college was over.
Other: I chose this course because of my passion for cars and bikes. There is nothing special about this course so cannot comment on that regard. I would like to change everything in the course starting from subjects to teachers and the way of delivering the knowledge about the subjects. Our college was good at events, festivals as well as the college fest. Everyone in Dehradun is familiar with Grafest which is the name of our college's biannual festival. Various famous personalities and artists have performed in the Grafest since 2010. My batch ie, 2010-2014 received handsome scholarship on the basis of 12th class percentage. I'm not sure if scholarships are given now.

Good infrastructure but placements could be better worth of fees.
Placements: Placements are not good for the mechanical stream, but they are good for the CS department. In 2018, GEU ventured with Tata Motors for ME department students. I am not aware of the current status, but it was not good at that time. However, a few mechanical companies visited the campus for placements in the field of intellectual property and patents, but they hired very few candidates. Moreover, due to that, a few ME students had to opt for placements in IT.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is pretty good, and it is very well maintained. The planning of the buildings is done in such a way that many buildings are built in a very less area and equally spacious. Apart from these, the college is facilitated with top class labs, library and classrooms.
Faculty: Faculty members in the college are most qualified, and some of them are very talented. They have a Masters and PhD from foreign universities, but few faculty members are very junior. The faculty members are good, and I would say that 70% of them are qualified and have good teaching techniques.

As the tagline itself says transforming dreams into reality. It does really mean so.
Placements: The no. Of placements are increasing year by year by an unignorable margin. Mechanical students are performing exceptionally well. 80-90% is the percentage of the placements held every year. Its a great margin though. All the students are going on very impressive package offered by mammoth companies. Their performance is worth appreciated.
Infrastructure: Lavish infrastructure. Eco-friendly environment which helps student to perform well on various levels whether on national or international level. Well maintained campus and full of facilities. Sanity is being maintained if anyone don't maintain it then strict action is taken against the one who break the law of sanity. Classrooms are fully furnished. Sports facility is also available here. There is seperate cricket ground, badminton court, basketball court and football ground as well. Wi-Fi facility is available too. Hostel rooms are like the rooms of 5 star hotel. The food of the cafeteria is awesome.
Faculty: The most important and good thing of this college is that the faculty members are too much appreciative and enthusiastic who helps students to be so. Students are being continuously inspired by such huge experience of faculty members. They keep motivating the students and provide them every possible help as in their cup of tea.

Our college has good faculty and good facilities.
Placements: For the mechanical department, very less companies come to the college for the placements. There are more oppurtunities for CSE students, but the salary offered is less. We have a placement cell which is useful in getting the placements
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in our college is very good. Our college is situated in a silent place, where we can study comfortably. We have good electricity facility. There are many classrooms and a lecture theatre and four hostels situated in the college. They are in good condition. The cricket league will be organised every year.
Faculty: The faculty in our college are awesome. They do hard work for the students. They teach the students in a good manner. The course curriculum is adjusted in a right manner. The students are sent to the industries for the industry visits. They used to give the introduction to the subject.
Other: Every year, there are many events and fests organised in our college. The campus crowd is huge.

Absolutely fine for a better future.
Placements: There are several companies names are available for placement like infosys, wipro and dell and many other big international companies are available for placement. And these companies gives the opportunity which will boost your career and a bright future.
Infrastructure: In the Field of infrastructure, there is no competition and compromise have done by graphic era because it has one of the best building of Dehradun. It have all the required facilities like Wi-Fi, canteen, especially gym has provided by the University for maintaining the health of students.
Faculty: Almost all major and famous courses are available in the University which you casually find in the other big universities. If you want a bright future and a golden era in your life then I will recommend you to join this university because not only courses faculty is also very good.
