IPU LLM Eligibility & Highlights 2025

All LLM aspirants willing to seek IPU admission are required to appear for CLAT PG, conducted by National Law University. For LLM (Weekend) programme admission, candidates are shortlisted based on a merit list prepared by GGSIPU on the following parameters and respective weightage:

CLAT score: 50%
Performance in PI round: 30%
Year-wise professional experience: 20%

While LLM is offered for a duration of one year, LLM (Weekend) is a two-year course. GGSIPU offers LLM programme via its two affiliated colleges, including University School of Law & Legal Studie with an annual seat intake of 40 students, and via Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies which offers two specialisations for LLM, including Corporate Law (seats: 40) and Alternative Dispute Resolution (seats: 60). The LLM (Weekend) programme is offered only by University School of Law & Legal Studies with an annual seat intake of 40 students. The fee for the LLM programme is INR 1.10 lakh. Candidates must meet the below-mentioned eligibility criteria to qualify for admission:

Placements: The college has a very good placement cell with eminent jurists, lawyers, and judges. It provides students with the best recruitment team and knowledgeable individuals for their life, career, as well as their future. The Placement cell treats students as their own.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi classrooms with AC infrastructure are provided with knowledgeable teachers. The college provides sports facilities, internet facilities, and a library with all databases and law journals. The college is the best in Delhi NCR as it also provides a moot court and other practical experiences to impart lessons and knowledge.

Best college for law and legal studies.

Placements: 70 percent of students were placed in this course. 80 percent of students got internship from our course. (Both LL.B. and LL.M. ) I guess LL.M. is an academic degree. There would not be much recruiters else on naukri and liked in various job specifications are requiring post graduate students.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good with library room at 4th floor consisting of all type of books relating to legal and law books, journals, magazines. Law library for management courses is available at 3rd floor. Washrooms are clean with availability of sanitary napkins and soaps and sanitizers.

Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful and knowledgeable and takes queries of students on the spot. Yes the course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are related to syllabus only and nothing is out of syllabus. Pass percentage is good 4 on 5. Yes the course curriculum is relevant to the point that what we as students studied in 1st semester of our LL.B. course is also in our LL.M. course and with little more enhancement and advance in study curriculum.

Other: Its an add on course of law graduation with specifications in various fields such as Corporate law, ADR, IPR, Criminal. It would be great if more presentations from students are initiated. Like in globalization subject various presentations were taken which cleared our concept thoroughly.

Placements: Our college has more than 300 students in law courses including B.A. LL.B. BBA LL.B. and LL.M. The competition is very high during the campus placement because more than 300 student get pass out every year from FIMT college. The placement is very decent in our college. The highest package offered in our course were 4.8 lac per annum, the lowest salary package were 2.4 lac per annum and average salary package were 3 lac per annum. College placement cell offers various placement opportunities. Around 95% student were get internship in various companies.

Infrastructure: In infrastructure of our college is very good and one of the best all IP University colleges. Classroom are huge and every classroom has air conditions and connected with projector. Best things from college infrastructure is moot court for law student. Moot court is best part of college infrastructure. College has canteen and provide medical facilities also. For sports and games there is big playground.

Faculty: Faculty members are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Best things about faculty members that they are up to date with industry knowledge which makes their teaching quality best. The course curriculum is design by IP University according to industry standard. Yes course curriculum makes student ready for industry. The semester exam are bit difficult but not very hard to get good marks.

FIMT is a good college to study law courses.

Placements: I am currently studying, so I can't say much about placement. FIMT College has started offering an LL.M. course in 2022, and we are going to be the first batch to graduate. The college offers two other courses also related to law. The placement cell helps in getting the best placement. If you have skill and talent, then you will definitely get the placement. Teachers, mentors, and alumni always support placement. Teachers help make the right decisions for the future.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of FIMT College is very good. The college management has invested a good amount in making it a top-notch law college. It has world-class facilities for law students. There is an air-conditioned canteen where students can enjoy the meal during lunch or break time. A huge auditorium is available for all kinds of functions. The library has a very good collection of books and magazines. There is a place for sports and games. The college has CCTV and security guards for security purposes.

Faculty: Faculty members in the FIMT School of Law are just amazing. They are highly qualified and understanding. They speak frankly with every student so that anyone can ask a doubt easily. The course curriculum is designed by GGSIPU and is very relevant to industry demand. The semester exam is quite difficult if you do not attend class on a regular basis.
