The college is good with good placements.
Placements: For the 2017-2018 batch, placements were good. Almost all the students got placed with good packages in good companies. The placement cell worked really hard for the placements of students. Pre-placement training sessions were conducted, and everything was taken care of. This year, not many good companies visited the campus for placements. Overall, the placements are good. The companies that visited the campus for placements offered good positions to placed students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. The classrooms are spacious, well-ventilated and are equipped with a projector and digital facilities. The labs have everything required for carrying out the experiments. The whole campus is enabled with Wi-Fi facility. There are departmental libraries in every department where you get all the reference books, projects of students, the papers they presented, and research works. There is a central library where there are many books. We have a digital library too. There is a hospital in the college with very good medical facilities.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are well-qualified, trained, and very helpful. They are ready to help students in every possible way. They use new teaching techniques like video lectures to teach. They give assignments and practical-based studies. They clarify the doubts and support the students in their research and new ideas. The give innovative ideas. Presentation and projects are given in every subject to students. Lots of books are available in the library. The professors help in projects and also give new ideas. They provide a good platform for international presentations, research, and development. There are various projects of students and staff for reference. The professors are also into research, so they keep on searching for new ideas.
Other: The crowd and campus life is very good. It is located at the centre of the city. Buses and cycles are available in the college. There are various groups to conduct different activities and events.

Q:   Can I get MTech in IIT Bombay with GATE?
A: 

Yes, GATE score is required to get admission to IIT Bombay course. However, aspirants who have not qualified GATE can also get admission based on written test conducted by the institute. The shortlisted candidates are further called for a personal interview round. In order to be eligible to apply for the course, an aspirant must have a BE/ BTech/ BSc/ Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning/ MSc/ MCA/ MBBS/ MPharm/ BPharm/ BDS/ degree recognised equivalent to BE/ BTech with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD category) earned through Associate Membership Examinations conducted by recognised professional bodies to apply for MTech course.

Q:   How can I get MTech admission in IIT Bombay?

IIT Bombay offers two-year MTech courses in 39 specialisations under 18 departments. Admission to the course is based on scores in GATE followed by COAP counselling. In addition, to be eligible to take the entrance test, candidates must also meet the minimum eligibility criteria. Further, aspirants can apply for GATE online by visiting the official website. Aspirants who have not qualified GATE can get admission through written test conducted by the institute. The shortlisted candidates are further called for a personal interview round.

Q:   Is it compulsory to stay in hostel in IIT Bombay?
A: 

No, it’s not compulsory for regular scholars to stay in the hostel for studying at IIT Bombay. Also, not every student gets a hostel facility. However, students who get enrolled in summer and winter internships have to stay in a hostel during the tenure of their internship. Interns who get the hostel are required to complete the formalities such as registration, payment of internship fees, etc., with the academic office of the institute.
