IIT bombay- father of all engineering universities.
Placements: Placements every year set new trends and records. 75% of students were offered jobs with average salary being 11 LPA. Big giants in the field of analytics, coding, consultancies like Mackenzie, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook along with many other firms visit every year. Core companies like TATA Steel, Applied Materials, KLA Tencor visit every year the highest salary offered- 40 LPA. Placement body consists of Placement managers, associate placement coordinators, company coordinators and department placement coordinators. It works in a very efficient and organised manner monitored by the training and placement officer.
Infrastructure: The campus is entirely Wi-Fi enabled. All hostel rooms have LAN connections. Gymkhana takes care of the sports facilities. Indoor sports facilities are also provided. Facilities for badminton, cricket, swimming, table tennis, lawn tennis, squash, basketball, volleyball, athletics and many more sports are provided. The mess and canteen offer good quality food at very subsidised rates. Canteens are opened till 4 a. m. Labs and classrooms are fully air conditioned with fully equipped facilities. Safety for girls in the campus is given utmost priority.
Faculty: Faculty members are very qualified and knowledgeable. Most of the professors are post doctorates. They try to make the classroom session interactive and interesting. They are very cooperative as well. Every professor is assisted by a teaching assistant who is a post-graduate student. His job is to conduct tutorials, grade assignments, evaluate answer scripts and demonstrate lab experiments if required.

Worth the hard work required to get admission in IIT, Bombay.
Placements: IIT Bombay is known for its placements. For metallurgy, the companies like Tata Steel, Hindalco, GE, Applied materials, etc. Other companies like Microsoft, Apple, Uber, and Morgan Stanley are opened for all. The highest salary offered is 30 LPA. The lowest was 8 LPA, and the average offered was 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: The whole campus is equipped with Wi-Fi. Proper lab facility, state of the art facilities, and a very good facility for the sports and games. Night canteen facility is there where you can get quality food at cheap rates. The hostel rooms are also very good. Therefore I am fully satisfied with the infrastructure.
Faculty: All the faculty members here are postgraduate and highly qualified researchers in their area. They have in-depth knowledge, and they teach the basics. They are helpful and down to earth. The teaching quality is very good, and most of the professors use the presentation in the class. The course curriculum is also helpful. The student to faculty ratio is low, but we are given enough freedom to raise our doubt at any point of time.
Other: IIT Bombay conducts Asia's the largest cultural fest Mood Indigo. This year, I was a part of the core team of Mood Indigo, and it is one of the best experience one could ever have. Apart from this, we have a technical fest called Techfest which is known for one of the best technical fests in the country. The campus is situated in one of the posh areas of Mumbai. The various organisations offer many scholarships.
