For admission to its BTech programme, IIST Trivandrum accepts the JEE Advanced scores. Candidates have to appear for the JEE Main exam to qualify themselves to appear for the JEE Advanced exam. Candidates interested in the MTech programme must appear for the GATE exam.

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology Trivandrum takes into account the NET/ GATE/ JEST scores of the candidates while shortlisting them for the PhD programme.
