IIIT Hyderabad Course Admissions 2025: Application, Eligibility, Dates

IIIT Hyderabad offers the flagship Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programme in a variety of specializations. The course is a popular programme for students seeking to build a career in Engineering. The total tuition fees for International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad BTech is INR 10 L - 18 L. In order to get admission to IIIT Hyderabad for MTech, students are required to apply via PGEE, CEED or GATE exam for different M.Tech specialisations. The admission process for the BTech program at IIIT Hyderabad is entirely online and entrance-based. Candidates can secure admission by achieving a qualifying score in one of the following exams: JEE Main, UGEE, or Olympiad (KVPY). For applicants opting for JEE Main, it is mandatory to have a valid score before applying to IIIT Hyderabad. However, for other admission pathways, such as UGEE or Olympiad, students can submit their applications through the official website. Therefore, it is indeed feasible to gain admission to the institute without relying on JEE Main. Those who choose not to take JEE Main can still participate in the admission process using alternative criteria and procedures.

International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad accepts JEE Main scores for admission to the BTech courses. As per the IIIT Hyderabad JEE Main cutoff 2024, the Round 2 closing rank for CSE and ECE were 1371 and 4391, respectively for the students beloning to the OBC category.

IIIT Hyderabad Cutoff 2024 was concluded for admission on the basis of JEE Main scores. The cutoff was out for B.Tech in CSE and BTech in ECE. The cutoff was released for different categories under the General All India quota. The last round closing ranks for BTech in CSE and BTech in ECE were 1582 and 4350, respectively, for the Geeneral AI category. The semester-wise fee for PhD is INR 75,000. Additionally, the deemed university provides financial assistance towards the tuition fees and stipend to all research students (PhD) of good standing. Normally, full financial assistance requires the student to put in 20 hours of work per week. Financial assistance is provided to all the students during the first semester, but it is continued based on good academic performance.

IIIT Hyderabad offers complete financial assistance to any admitted student who requires it. The avenues for such aid are as follows:

• State Bank of India (IIIT branch) guarantees an SBI Scholar student loan to a candidate who secures admission at IIITH for up to INR 20 lakh. This loan can be availed of even if the applicant's family has other existing loans.

• The institute's alumni have established a fund to assist successfully admitted students based on their financial condition. However, this is provided on a pay-it-forward basis.

• Students who come from families with an income below INR 8 Lacs per annum are guaranteed full tuition support. Students who exceed these income requirements can also apply for the scholarship scheme.

• In the case that the committee finds their case deserving, tuition support is also likely to be awarded to these students.

Yes, IIIT Hyderabad offers part-time courses as well. The professionals are encouraged by the institute to enroll in the PG programmes on a part-time basis also. IIIT Hyderabad also offers MTech, MS by Research, MPhil and PhD programmes along with a few courses, namely MSIT and PGSSP courses at PG and doctoral levels. For all these courses, admission is also entrance-based. In addition to these part-time courses, IIIT Hyderabad offers degree programmes to its aspirants at UG, PG and doctorate (PhD) levels. IIIT Hyderabad admission is entrance-based for all these full-time programmes. Candidates seeking admission must apply online on the official website and the offerd courses include MTech, MS by Research, MPhil and PhD programmes.

A PhD student can take the relevant courses in the first one or two semesters, depending on the background, just like a student of MS by research. After the first year, the student works on clearing the PhD qualifying exam which tests his or her breadth of knowledge in the field of study.
