The Metallurgy side of Jadavpur University.

Placements: Jadavpur University have a high reputation for placing students and the campus is one of the most prolific and highly respected colleges around. Most of the students got placed in SAIL, JSW, Tata Steel, etc. If the student is core placed in metallurgy then the average package is between 6 LPA and 12 LPA. The high packages are given to those who are going to a non-core placement. The internship programme is available for students every year.

Infrastructure: The buildings are a bit old but the renovation work is in progress. The Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. The classroom temperature is a bit lower than the outside. The campus also provides a central library for all the department students. The hostel buildings are also very old and the same renovation is going on. The canteen food is good and easy to digest.

Faculty: All the teachers of the campus and especially my department are highly educated from top institutes of India and humanity can be expected from every one of them. The course curriculum is relevant and it gets updated every academic year according to world affairs. The semester exams are like a festival for me. I enjoy it very much. The pass percentage is above 85 percent.

Other: Try to maintain a decent distance from your super seniors who are going to leave the campus soon.

Satisfied with the placement, infrastructure and campus life.Its totally a return of investment.

Placements: Almost 94% students are placed in my course. Highest package of my department is 14.45lpa and average package was 9.45lpa. TATA steel, Vedanta, JSW, Airbus, RIL, Tega are the top recruiters. 60% students are able to get internship this year and the companies are Tata Steel, Airbus, RIL. Mainly management trainee role offered in my course.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is preety good. There are wifi facilities in classrooms ,labs and libraries. But one thing is lab condition are not good.. many instruments are old and need to be replaced. In hostel water facilities are available 24hrs, in first one have to share his room with 3 others, wifi facilities also there, quality of food in the canteen are good in some canteens like aahar, pg canteen and suruchi canteen. Several types of sports facilities like football, TT, cricket, basketball are there.

Faculty: The professors are highly educated and most of them have PhD on their subjects. Their teaching ability is highly impressive. To be honest the course curriculum is not relevant with industrial purpose. Semester questions are well organized and quite challenging.one have to score 40% to pass the semester or else he gets suppli.

Other: I have choose this course for the placement. The best things about my course is one can score good CGPA by studying less. In my course faculties are not aware of the students performance. It must be improve. There are several scholarship opportunities like svmcm,oasis etc. Different types of events takes place like sanskriti, srijan, med gala etc. as it a open university the campus are always crowded.

It is a great engineering college in India.

Placements: Almost 95% of students got placed in this course. Few students opted for higher studies. The highest salary package offered was 21 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. The average salary package offered was 9.68 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Vedantu and Tata Steel. Many students got placed in top companies.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great. High-speed internet connection is available free of cost. Classroom are air-conditioned. There is a huge library on our campus. Hostel facilities are very good. The hostel fee structure is reasonable. All facilities are available in this college.

Faculty: All teachers are highly qualified and helpful. Faculty members are friendly with students. All seniors are very helpful. The course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry. Semester exams are difficult. The pass percentage is 40%.

Other: Many fests are conducted in this college.

It offers good placements and good campus life.

Placements: Almost 84% of students in the current batch have been placed. The highest salary package offered was 12.5 LPA, and the lowest was 3.6 LPA. These numbers are not exact but good enough to get a rough idea about the placement opportunities in the course. Top recruiting companies were Samsung, Tata Metals, TCS, Cognizant, etc. One student got an internship in the third year as a SDE at Samsung. Many others also got internships in the core sector.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are decent. The library is world-class. Wi-Fi is available on the campus. The food quality at the mess is fine. Other amenities like sports and games are also available. We get a lot of free time to play sports. Labs are world-class when it comes to infrastructure and facilities.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is relevant to the industry. Semester exams are not easy, but one can excel in them with decent preparation. The pass percentage is about 85% to 90%.

It is one of the finest university in India for infrastructure as well as placements.

Placements: Almost 100% of the students got placed in our engineering course. The highest salary offered is 4 lacs per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 40,000 per month. Companies like Google, TCS, Jindal and Tata Steel are the top recruiters of our college. Students are offered with roles like managing director, manager and CEO. In our course, the highest salary package offered is 40 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA. ALmost 100% of the students from our college got an internship.

Infrastructure: Facilities of our college are outstanding, especially the library, laboratory, workshops, smart classrooms for smart engineering students. Hostel facilities are not good, and the food is not also good. But medical facilities are very good on the campus.

Faculty: Teachers here are outstanding and provide all notes. All of them are knowledgeable, and their qualification is PhD. Their quality of technical education is very high. This course makes all the students ready for the industry by providing industrial training, visiting and many things. The college also provides practical, project, workshops and laboratory practical work experience.

Other: I have chosen this course because it was my childhood dream. The college should provide higher study after completing this course. Events and fests are also conducted in our college.

Placements: Placements are organised purely by the students along with a panel of professors to guide us. A placement coordinator is selected from every department who contacts with the HRs' of a concerned company. Placements are excellent in all departments. There is an average of 85% of placements every year.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is fabulous with modern lab facilities. We have a mechanical workshop known as Blue Earth Machine Shop, which is the largest in Asia among its category. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The campus is divided into two parts, the main campus is in Jadavpur, and the other one is in Salt Lake.

Faculty: Professors are one of the best in India and most of them being alumni of Jadavpur University. The central library consists of as many books one can even imagine. Apart from the central library, every department has its own departmental library.

Other: Besides having a healthy academic culture, JU also has a strong environment in sports and other extracurricular activities. Students get ample opportunities to explore themselves during their college life.

Jadavpur University is the heaven for students.

Placements: Placements are really good. Companies like Microsoft, Oracle, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Flipkart, etc., visit the campus frequently and recruit a considerable amount of students every year. Students of our college also score good rank in CAT and GATE exams. Nearly 90% of the students get placed every year.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The surrounding and locality are very good. People get everything in nearby areas. The college has a student union, and it is very effective and well-organised. They always organise some sports competitions and techno-management fest on the campus.

Faculty: Faculty members are really good. They are well-experienced. They know everything about their subject. They are friendly and can solve our doubts in canteen too. The course curriculum is simplified and the best. Overall, the quality of education provided is outstanding.
