Good campus, library, average faculty, and placements.
Placements: Placement isn't great for our course. Only 10 to 20 percent of students got placed, and even that isn't much since Environmental Science is a new department under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, so most placements go to B.Tech students. Freshers usually get 3 LPA to 4 LPA. Companies like Vertex Enviro Consultancy, Inopol Environment Services, OneSust, SGS India, Vedanta, and L&T hire for related roles. Internships mostly depend on students applying to CPCB, SPCB, NGOs, and environment firms. Common roles include EHS Officer, EIA Specialist, GIS Analyst, and Environment Consultant.
Infrastructure: There's university Wi-Fi and access to it across campus. Labs in our own department aren't fully developed yet, but other departmental labs are decent. Classrooms have new infrastructure now, and the central library, along with other reading halls, is really good, with AC too. Hostels are average. The food in the mess isn't up to the mark but the campus itself looks good. The medical facility is okay, not something to rely on for anything serious. Infrastructure is a mixed bag some parts are modern and well kept, others are still catching up.
Faculty: Teaching quality is honestly 50-50. Some teachers in our course are helpful but mostly they come across as arrogant and not very supportive, though teachers from other departments are qualified and genuinely helpful. The curriculum is relevant and even covers a good part of the UGC NET syllabus. It doesn't really make you industry-ready, though, most of it feels like formalities, so a lot depends on your own effort. Semester exams aren't too difficult. There are two minor exams and one major exam per semester along with practicals and projects. The overall passing criteria are 40 percent.

You should know this before getting into Jamia Millia Islamia University.
Placements: Department of CS at Jamia Millia Islamia has average placements. They are neither too good nor very bad. It offers decent packages for entry-level positions. The highest package is 16 LPA on campus. About 70-80% of the students get placed on campus. The average package is 8-9 LPA. Many companies like TCS, TATA, Oracle, Amazon, and many more come to hire.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good. University has high-speed free Wi-Fi all over the campus buildings. The department has good labs that are well equipped with good computer systems and equipment. Each department has its own private library. There are also two central libraries. There are 5-6 canteens that offer good quality food at reasonable prices.
Faculty: Faculty is well qualified. They have good behavior. They are helpful as well if students are passionate about asking questions. The curriculum is good as well, covering all the skills required for getting a job. The exams are easy to moderate. One of our department professors is recognized by NASA as a top 2% scientist as well.
Other: I chose B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science because it is less difficult than B.Tech. It covers all the skills and programming languages without requiring me to study as hard as in B.Tech. Jamia also organizes events and fests for students for entertainment and spreading awareness. Several departments organize competitions. Students can participate.

Decent placements, great in judiciary, and a competitive environment.
Placements: When it comes to corporate placements, it's not considered the best but is decent. Many of my seniors have PPOs (pre-placement offers) with decent packages. When it comes to judiciary and litigation, it is one of the premier universities in India.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure includes many playgrounds, hygienic canteens, and the central library. This is the Zakir Hussain Library. It has the best resources. They even have a fully air-conditioned law library exclusively for the faculty of law, JMI.
Faculty: Jamia Millia Islamia Faculty of Law has good, experienced faculty for most subjects. But a few faculty members have an old-fashioned style of teaching that might get irrelevant sometimes. Apart from that, faculty members here are very nice. They have a polite way of teaching.
Other: Jamia Millia Islamia University has a very competitive campus life. The crowd here is well dressed. It has good fashion sense.

Vibrant campus, strong faculty and opportunities, with a promising new engineering programme.
Placements: In B.Tech Electrical & Computer Engineering we are the 2nd batch, so no batch has graduated yet. No students from our course have been placed yet, as the course is new. However, placements in other departments are good. Average package is 10 LPA across established engineering courses. Top recruiters are Reliance, TCS, Siemens, Bharat Petroleum, Bosch, etc. Course-specific data is not available yet as no batch has graduated. Top roles offered are Software Engineer, Electrical/Electronics Engineer, Graduate Engineer Trainee, and other technical roles.
Infrastructure: The department has well-furnished labs along with good classrooms, Wi-Fi facilities, access to the central library, and a reading room for students. The hostels have decent accommodation with Wi-Fi facilities, mess, canteen, medical aid, gym, and sports activities. All in all the infrastructure and facilities of the college are good.
Faculty: The faculty is highly qualified, experienced, and supportive. All the professors hold PhD degrees and have extensive research experience. The Electrical Engineering Department has over 150 PhDs and an h-index of 57, which demonstrates the quality of research produced by the faculty. The Electrical & Computer Engineering programme has a relevant curriculum that focuses on providing students with knowledge of both electrical engineering and computer Science. The programme is student-friendly, and the examinations are not very hard. They are mostly based on conceptual knowledge and application of concepts.
Other: I chose Electrical & Computer Engineering because it provides knowledge of the core branch of Electrical Engineering along with Computer Science making it a double advantage course and opening up opportunities in both fields. Also, being in the 2nd batch itself, the course requires improvisation. The course can be enhanced by including more industry projects, internships, and industry exposure. The college has a vibrant campus with an active community, great connectivity, infrastructure, and opportunities with scholarships providing ample scope for students to explore. It's a great place to chill along with studies.

Jamia Millia Islamia overall scenario.
Placements: Placements at JMI are quite good. Companies visit the campus for placements, such as Accenture, Samsung, L&T, Infosys, TCS, etc. Overall, placements are okay to good, but in the current condition, placements are in a declining phase. However, it totally depends on you whether you study and get placements. There are many other off-campus chances also.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. Basic facilities like the library, sports complex, and canteen are available. In B.Tech, you won't get AC in the 1st year, but after that, you will get AC. Wi-Fi is present but works slowly. All other facilities are provided. I didn't find the canteen food quite good, but it still remains manageable.
Faculty: Faculty have great knowledge. The curriculum is of the old type, with no advanced changes from the Jamia side. Some professors are also on Stanford's top 100 list. Overall, my teaching experience is quite good, but they have a strict 75% attendance policy.

A great place to study with scope for improvement.
Placements: The Department of Law at Jamia Millia Islamia provides decent opportunities for students who are willing to put in consistent effort. Unlike NLUs, placements are limited, and many students prefer litigation, judicial services, higher studies, or independent internships. Last year, only 5 to 6 students got placements one is in Luthra and Luthra, one is in CAM and more. The college regularly shares internship opportunities through the placement and internship cell. The professors who are the heads of the different academic committees encourage students to participate in moot courts, ADR competitions, legal aid activities, and research.
Infrastructure: The Department of Law at Jamia Millia Islamia has well-maintained classrooms, a good library with a wide collection of legal books, journals, and online databases like SCC, Manupatra, and Live Law. Wi-Fi is available in most academic areas. The campus is clean and has beautiful greenery, a sports complex, a health centre where free medical services are provided to students and canteens offering affordable food. The hostels are decent, with basic amenities like spacious rooms, a lift, Aro water, a reading hall, and a common hall with proper hygiene. The mess food is quite okay.
Faculty: Our faculty professors are qualified, knowledgeable, and generally supportive. The curriculum covers core subjects and provides a strong academic foundation, mostly, the Jamia curriculum tilts towards the judiciary, so it's best for students who wanna pursue the judiciary, though practical exposure depends on individual efforts. Semester exams are moderately difficult, and students who attend classes and pay attention usually pass without much difficulty.
Other: I chose law because I have always dreamed of studying law since 9th grade and wanted to build a career in the legal profession. The best part of the course is the strong academic environment, experienced faculty, and opportunities to participate in moots, ADR competitions, legal aid activities, and internships. Various cultural events and extracurricular activities are organised throughout the year. Like Rajasthan society, which organises Apnayat, and Kerala society also organises their fest every year and many more. I feel the college could improve placement opportunities and strengthen industry interaction by inviting more law firms and legal organisations for campus recruitment.
