Jawaharlal Nehru University provides undergrdaute programme across various streams such as Management, Science, Engineering, Arts, etc. The PG courses are offered for the duration of 2 year. The university offers PG programmes in MBA, MA, MSc, MCA, MPH, etc. courses are offered to the students.
The expected counselling rounds for the JEE Main counselling process could be conducted in 6 rounds going as per last year's counselling process. All candidates with a valid JEE Main score are eligible to participate in JoSSA for admission to various BTech courses. The counselling process includes registration, online filling and locking of choices, seat allotment, where students can choose between freeze, float or slide option, after which verification of documents is required and physical reporting to the allotted institution.

Jawaharlal Nehru University MA admission season generally begins in the first week of March every year. The programme is offered under various specialisations via six schools for a duration of two years. JNU admission 2023 to the MA programme is based on a candidate's performance in CUET-PG, followed by a counselling round. In order to be eligible for the viva voice, a candidate must secure the following marks in the written examination:

Admission to Jawaharlal Nehru University BA (Hons) in Foreign Languages, BSc-MSc Integrated Programme in Ayurveda Biology and Certificate of Proficiencey (COP) courses is through CUET (UG). Only the aspirants with a valid score of CUET are eligible to take admission in these courses. Moreover, the application for the same has to be submitted by visiting the JNU admission portal.
