Karunya University review.
Placements: Our college provides good placements for the students. At the beginning of the final year, the college provides placement training to prepare the students for placements. Most of the students have been placed in companies that provide placement packages of around 7 LPA.
Infrastructure: College has really great infrastructure, and the labs in the biotechnology department are well-equipped. The college is situated near a beautiful valley, which provides a good climate. The hostels are separate for each year, thus reducing the chances of ragging.
Faculty: B.Tech in Biotechnology course provides a good, sophisticated curriculum for the students, and frequent tests enable the students to understand the concepts. There are 3 internal examinations and 1 semester exam in each semester. The credit point system is really helpful for the students.

A new life with Karunya University.
Placements: There are 64 students in my batch, and placement is 100%. The top recruiting companies for my course are Johnson & Johnson, Pasteur Institute, and Biocon. The main roles offered in my course are Lab Technician, Project Associate, and Research Associate. The highest salary package offered is 5 LPA, and the lowest package is 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: Many facilities are available in the department, which are essential for the course. The department itself also has a library. The whole campus has an internet connection provided by the university. Smart boards are available, which help in conducting presentations, and seminar halls are available for hosting seminars.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, and many of them hold PhDs and have degrees from IITs. They are very supportive and easy to communicate with. The course curriculum is very relevant, making students industry-ready and also helping them learn life values. The semester exams are not very difficult if you study properly. The pass percentage is always above 70%.
Other: I chose this course because I like to learn how biology and technology are connected. The best thing about this course is that it is vast, and we can learn about a variety of topics. One thing that can be improved is practical learning, which was limited when I was studying, but I believe it has improved now. There are very few events and fests, and cultural activities are not at all present.

A Balanced Life at Karunya.
Placements: 90% of students were placed in our course. The lowest package was 1-3 LPA, and the highest was 30+ LPA. Top recruiting companies: Biocon, Zifo. Top roles offered are research scientist, associate, and executive. 100% of students got internships (RGCB, NEFTEM, ICMR, ICAR).
Infrastructure: College Wi-Fi is accessible everywhere. It has great infrastructure, well-organized classrooms, and labs. The library is a calm place to learn well. Overall, the food is good compared to other places. Hostel facilities for girls, a gym, and basketball grounds are available. The ground can also be used for any other games.
Faculty: Faculty members are the main highlight in Karunya. Everyone is friendly; they are ready to teach, guide, and help students. They play a crucial role in shaping our path to success. Yes, the course curriculum is designed to be industry-relevant and aims to make students industry-ready. It combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications, ensuring students gain hands-on experience through lab sessions, internships, and project work. If we find the subject tough, it will be tough; continuous learning is the major part here. The pass percentage is around 50%.
Other: I am interested in the research field. The best things are the ability to solve real-world problems and create a sustainable future through science and innovation. I want more core-related placements in this course. The big event is MINDKRAFT. The big festival is MEGAPLAY. Scholarships are based on merit and GATE/JEE.

This was my experience studying at Karunya University, batch of 2011-2015.
Placements: I studied at the Karunya Institute of Technology and Science, during the year 2011-2015. Students in my batch were around 30, and we had 2 sections. Recruiting companies were Sutherland, Infosys, CPGM, Biocon, TCS, Wipro, etc. The salary packages vary based on the position and roles offered. Most of the companies provided on-board training upon hiring.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities were great, it was well-maintained and clean. There was a shopping center inside the hostel campus for daily essentials. There were multiple food options like juices, snacks, etc., There was a Xerox center, fitness center, and computer center in the hostel.
Faculty: Teacher were supportive and understanding, they all held PhDs and were highly knowledgeable. Teaching quality was good and faculty gave complete time to students. The course is well-developed and captures all the essentials of the subject, which makes the student industry-ready.

My review on Karunya University.
Placements: I am studying B.Tech in Biotechnology at Karunya University, and our batch strength is 64. The faculty ensures that everyone is offered the best internship and placement opportunities. Recently, two of our classmates were given the opportunity to do their project at Biocon.
Infrastructure: The hostel and campus infrastructural facilities are great. There are facilities required for students to pursue their higher studies with great efficiency. The hostel and mess also have good infrastructure, and security facilities are very prominent, so we feel safe.
Faculty: The curriculum provided at Karunya has a strong emphasis on both core subjects and research opportunities. The faculty are really helpful and great. They ensure to clear all our subject doubts and also guide us through projects and lab work. The semester exams are not difficult if we study properly.
