Quality academics, average life.
Placements: At Mar Ivanios College, 30–50% of B.Com students are placed. The salary packages range between 2 LPA and 22 LPA. The average salary package offered is 3 LPA- 5 LPA. Top recruiters include Federal Bank and South Indian Bank. 30–50% of students got internships in EY (Ernst & Young). Roles offered include banking, accounting, sales, and analysis.
Infrastructure: Mar Ivanios College has classrooms, Wi-Fi, labs, and a good library. The hostel has a basic mess/canteen. They are average. They have basic medical aid. They have decent sports & games. Good atmosphere and couple-friendly with freedom to speak. We love the campus, and it's also a nice, environment-focused campus.
Faculty: At Mar Ivanios College, teachers are qualified and helpful. The teaching is good, but mostly theory-focused. The University of Kerala curriculum is relevant but not fully industry-ready. Exams are moderate, with a pass rate of about 80–95% friendly teachers.
Other: Choose B.Com at Mar Ivanios College for a strong commerce base. They have good faculty, campus, events & crowd. We need more practical exposure & internships. There is good connectivity, a green campus, scholarships & active extracurricular activities.

BCom Business Information Systems - Batch of 2027

Developing a college and a nice campus.
Placements: The placements are more normal than others, and there is high competition for the placements. The college offers internships for FYUGP 2nd Year students, which are normal internships, not paid internships. The internship for FYUGP students is also compulsory for almost all students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is above average. The college offers Wi-Fi to students from the government, provides library facilities, a science lab and a computer lab. Canteen facilities are also available, and now almost all classes are digital classrooms. The college is in a developing stage.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and friendly, and they provide high-quality education to students. The exams are provided by Kerala University. Odd semesters are internal evaluation and even semesters are external evaluation. Some exams are difficult, but practical exams are easy to pass. 35% is the minimum mark needed to pass.
Other: I chose B.Com Business Information Systems because it provides a B.Com degree with computer applications in business practices. I think in the modern era, it is useful to get jobs faster. The government provides a variety of scholarships to various students.

Proud to be an Ivanion because of our faculty members and infrastructure.
Placements: 80% of students are placed in our course. The highest package is 5 LPA. Banks and companies are the major recruiting companies that include Infosys, SBI, Microsoft, etc. They can get jobs like an accountant, bank manager, program developer, etc. They provide support to us.
Infrastructure: Hostel is highly facilitated. It is cleaned every second. Students love their hostel life. There will be special study time, and food is also provided on the basis of the timetable. There will be separate hostels for boys and girls. Hostel fee is affordable.
Faculty: The most important feature of the college is the education. They provide better education to the children. Education is compulsory, then any other activity. All the exams, evaluations, result publications, etc., are done in a structured format without delay.
Other: I chose this course to become an accountant. I think this is the best college to provide educational support to me. College is well known because of its curriculum. Our faculty members are also supporting our studies. They do their best for us. The most special thing in our course is an experiential learning platform. This platform helps us to implement what we have studied in the classroom to the real world. We are well known for our business. In college, different kinds of activities are available like NCC, NSS, etc. We also have CMA, CA, and ACCA courses.

Perfect college for career growth.
Placements: Many companies recruit from our college. We recruitment. In my year, there were 72 students. Top roles offered in my course are Auditor, Chartered Accountant, and Bank Manager. Infosys, Wipro, Federal Bank, South Indian Bank, etc. I don't have any information regarding packages, as I don't think it is offered.
Infrastructure: Commerce Department has computer labs. Our campus has a common library with a vast collection of books. Being a day scholar, I don't know about the hostel. Food quality in the college canteen is excellent. We have a medical room. Science department has Chemistry labs. Canteen offers a wide variety of food items, from pre-made to hand-made food items.
Faculty: Teachers were qualified. They teach in an engaging manner. They provide study materials and prepare us well in advance. Curriculum is relevant. It makes the students pre-equipped with communication skills and a better understanding of the world. Exams are moderate.
Other: I chose this course to pursue my ambition to become a chartered accountant. There are many fests in our college. We have club activities.

Satisfied with the syllabus and faculty, with great placements in 2025.
Placements: College offers really good placement opportunities. These opportunities are mainly provided by top companies and banks like HDFC, Federal Bank, Wipro, Amazon, etc. About 75–80% of the batch gets placed. These companies generally hire for roles in auditing, taxation, consulting, finance, and operations.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not that excellent. It is just like that of every other normal government college. But the classrooms are neat and tidy. The department has a great computer lab with internet facilities. The library also has a large number of resources which are useful for students.
Faculty: Faculty is well qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. They teach with clarity and also clear doubts without any hesitation. The curriculum and syllabus are way better than the university’s and are up-to-date. They also provide hands-on experience with real-life business situations. The exams are conducted on time, and it's pretty easy to score if one prepares well.
Other: Events are not that common in this college. They are fewer compared to other colleges.

Review of St. John's College, Anchal, from my perspective.
Placements: At the time of the course start, we are the first batch in B.Com accounts and data science. This course provides a wide range of opportunities like CA, CMA, ACCA, and others. In 2025, the result of the first rank holder in B.Com account and data science, our college became first. Infosys and so many IT field companies provide job opportunities and campus interviews.
Infrastructure: Well-managed library, roads, washing areas, toilets, and college canteen are available. Free Wi-Fi-enabled campus. There are developed staff rooms and classrooms. College consists of 2 building blocks, a library and a computer lab, in very good condition. If any student needs any type of medical facilities, it's also provided.
Faculty: Semester exams are conducted in 6-month gap. Qualified teachers are there, and they also support and work hard to maintain a good relationship between the teachers and students. They provide study material, revise the portion, and clear the doubts. At any time, students can approach the teacher without any hesitation. Our college has become the most qualified college in Kollam.
Other: The campus atmosphere is awesome. There is very good ground for sports. They promote students' talents and ambition. Parking facilities are also provided.
