It was the best college with a beautiful campus and great college life.
Placements: The placement of NIT Hamirpur in Engineering Physics was decent, with around 50%+ of students placed, and many students go for higher education. Many companies come to the college, such as companies related to nanotechnology, electrical companies, and many others. You can also go for research if you have an interest.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure available for the course was best. There was proper ventilation, Wi-Fi, electricity, and a proper library. The hostel is best, but there were some restrictions for first-year students; they are not allowed to go outside the hostel after 8:15 pm. The quality of the mess was decent, and the medical facility was awesome, with an ambulance available on campus. There are many sports events, and inter-college sports events are also held.
Faculty: The faculty was awesome, very helpful, and well-educated. The teaching quality was awesome. Yes, the course is the best and prepares you for the industry, especially if you have an interest in Physics and want to become a researcher. The course is a little difficult compared to others, but not that much.
Other: I chose this because I have an interest in Physics and want to work on nanotechnology, which is why I chose this course. There are two big events held at NIT Hamirpur: the first one is Hillfair, which is a cultural fest, and the second one is Nimbus, which is a technical fest. The campus has around 350 acres, which is great, and many extracurricular activities are included. There are also internet events held, and you can join many clubs that help you to improve your knowledge. Scholarships are also provided through NSP and other private scholarships.

Our college has a very good academic foundation and scenic compass but could improve in practical.
Placements: Our seniors got placements. The placement percentage is 90%. The highest salary package offered in 2024 is 1.8 CPA. It is very good. This course provides us with various opportunities. I want to go to many other branches. Our college provides placements in technical companies for computer science students.
Infrastructure: The hostel is not good because there are four members in one room. There is a shortage of water. The warden of the hostel is a very kind person. The warden improved the hostel which is one of the best things in the hostel. There are various activities in the hostel like Ram Leela, hostel night, etc.
Faculty: Our faculty members are not very good. The curriculum is good. Exams are very difficult compared to HW. The mid-term exams make it very difficult to score more marks. Teachers of mathematics can't give step marking. If students' answers are wrong, they can not get any marks. This is one of the toughest courses. Students have to work hard to pass exams.
Other: Our course is engineering in physics which is one of the toughest courses. I want to sneak into aerospace, so I chose this course.

Why should you choose NIT HAMIRPUR?
Placements: The Engineering Physics course is newly introduced in my college, which is why I am disappointed with my expected placement. My batch is the 4th batch of EP in NIT Hamirpur. The first passout batch has an average package of 4 LPA, and 75% of students are placed.
Infrastructure: The main thing which I love about my college is the infrastructure and its location situated atop a hill in Hamirpur district of HP. The buildings are old classical structures with 24/7 Wi-Fi connectivity. The hostels are also well-established and provide us with a ground, TV room, mess, a bathroom for every 5 students, and a gym. They serve us good quality, nutritious, and hygienic meals four times a day.
Faculty: Faculty members are too supportive in all aspects, whether it is academics or personal problems. They conduct 2 exams per semester named "minds" and "ends". The mid-semester exam covers 30% of the syllabus, while the end-semester exam covers 70% of the entire semester syllabus. To clear the semester, a student has to secure 40% marks in total for both semesters. However, securing more than 30% in the end semester is compulsory.
Other: This college is a very good decision to be in if you are not addicted to the worst culture of this college. Students fall into bad addiction which spoils their entire career mostly.

Satisfied with the infrastructure and scenic view of the campus.
Placements: B.Tech in Engineering Physics was started in 2020, and in 2024, the first batch is going to pass out, students preferred to opt for higher studies instead of taking part in placements. Still, the highest package offered is 10.2 LPA, and the average is 8 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good and suitable for students. Although hostels lack in many aspects, they are still far better compared to other colleges. The food available in canteens is okay. The college has a good hold on sports and games. Medical facilities are also good.
Faculty: If we talk about the faculty of the Department of Physics and Photonics Science, the teachers are helpful and highly qualified, putting effort into teaching students. The course curriculum in engineering physics is good, but it requires some key changes.
Other: The campus environment is very good. The campus is surrounded by calmness and greenery, providing an aesthetic view.

Our college provides good placements and campus life.
Placements: We are not in the final year yet, so no placement record of our particular branch has been made. Students in our branch have done great internships in various fields and a lot of opportunities are provided to explore, learn, and work in any field.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very good. It has many viewpoints and wonderful places to sit peacefully. Wi-Fi is available at almost every place. Our department is very good enough. Hostels are also pretty good. The place is good enough to work calmly and stay. Water facilities are sometimes disappointing. Mess food is not bad, it's good. Medical facilities and sports and games facilities are also good.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful and knowledgeable. They do their best to make students understand the course. There are 5 days for college in a week i.e. from Monday to Friday. Semester exams are neither too tough nor too easy, but scoreable. One must get atleast 15 marks out of 50 on end-semester exams and 30% in total.
Other: Our campus life is very good.

The main reason of this strict rule is syllabus , basically syllabus of 1st year is designed considering use of subject for department . I.e If you are.
