Admissions to NEHU Shillong is offered on the basis of merit and valid scores of accepted entrance exams. Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate in Class 12 for admission to UG level courses. CUET (Common University Entrance Test) is an all-India level entrance examination which is conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The competition is high so prepare well in advance to clear the CUET exams with good scores.

Candidates who opted the university when registering for the CUET exam are entitled to request for admission counselling. On the university's admissions portal, the counselling process will be conducted. Following registration, a merit list of chosen students will be made public. When the university releases additional information about it, the entire method will be evident.

NIT Manipur JEE Main cutoff 2024 has been released for admission to the BTech courses. The basic eligibility criteria required by the NEHU Shillong for admissions to BTech courses is candidates must complete their Class 12  from the Science stream, including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Technical Vocational subjects.
