Punjab University offers more than 50 courses with various specialisations. The courses are offered in UG, PG, and doctoral-level. Find below few of the top Punjab University courses with their eligibility criteria: 

Panjab University offers two-year MBA programmes across multiple specialisations via the CAT and The MBA specialisations offered are as follows:

Punjab University's BTech admission is entrance based. Exams like JEE Main is accepted for admission to the BTech course. Therefore, Candidates need to a watch out for JEE Main related dates. As per JEE Main website, the schedule,  NTA JEE Main 2026 exam date session 1 is January 21 to January 30 while the session 2 exam will be held from April 2 to 9. The highest package offered to the Engineering batch 2025 was INR 24 LPA. On the other hand, the highest salary offered to the MBA students during Punjab University placements 2025 was also INR 24 LPA.

Panjab University BSc placement data has not been declared by the University. However, according to the students' reviews on the Shiksha page, about 60% - 70% of BSc Medical programme students were placed in different fields. PU-CET (PG) is an entrance exam conducted by Panjab University Chandigarh for admission to its various post-graduate courses. PU-CET (PG) syllabus includes all the important topics of subjects that are relevant for business and general aptitude. For the PU-CET (PG) exam, candidates have to study Verbal Ability, Reasoning, General Knowledge and Data Interpretation. PU-CET (PG) exam preparation: Candidates should devise a strategy in advance. They must have a good idea of PU-CET (PG) exam pattern, the section-wise break-up, topic-wise weightage and the expected difficulty level of the question paper.

The answer is both yes and no. admission to all MBA courses is entrance-based at all the MBA offering institutes of PU. While for an Integrated MBA, students need a valid score in JEE Main exam, admission to UBS and UIAMS is subject to a valid score in CATor PU METexams, respectively. Students who wish to get into the specialisations or courses offered by UIAMS are required to appear for PU MET exam and those who wish to get into UBS are required to have a valid score in CAT exam.

The overall average package offered during Panjab University MBA placements 2023 is not released. However, the average package offered during PU UBS Chandigarh placements 2023 stood at INR 13.7 LPA. Earlier, the average package offered during PU UBS Chandigarh placements 2022 and 2021 stood at INR 10.13 LPA and INR 8.10 LPA, respectively.

Panjab University cutoff for the BTech and the BArch courses will be out after the JEE Main results are released. As of now on the basis of last year, the forthcoming cutoffs 2024 can be anticipated for the General category Home State Quota as follows:

1. One of the best mess. The contractor has been serving food since last 15 years. So, the food is kind of good. Or at least better than other hostels.

2. The hostel is located at the farthest from all the main gates. Just along the backside boundary there is a layer of jungle. So there is always peace. No sound of vehicles, no polluted air. Just the nature.

3. They got air conditioned common room.

4. The gym is fantastic and well equipped.

5. Experienced barbers, tailor.

6. 2 small playgrounds. We use to play cricket there. No need to go outside hostel.

7. Its never alloted to a single department. I have practically met at least one guy from all the department's. So its a genuine university hostel.

8. Its a political hub. Almost every year there will be contestants from here running for the students council seat. So, you get to see a lot actions and free food ;).
