To get admission into BSc courses offered at Punjabi University Patiala, candidates are required to qualify their Class 12 from Science stream with relevant subjects (according to the chosen specialisation selcted by candidates. For admission, candidates must have completed their higher senior secondary from CBSE, PSEB, ISC, UP Board,   Maharashtra HSC, MPBSE, Punjabi University Admission. Additionally, the university also accepts valid scores of CUET for admission. 

According to my research and the data which is available on the college official websites I have found that this college has a decent ranking Punjabi University is ranked 64 in India in the general universities category while the university is ranked 23 in NIRF India Ranking among the pharmacy institutes for the year 2020. It has been awarded the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad (MAKA) Trophy around 10 times. By seeing these I must say that this is decent collage 

Punjabi University is a state public university located in Patiala, Punjab. It was established in 1962 and is the second university in the world to be named after a language. Punjabi University has over 70 teaching and research departments under its umbrella. The disciplines offered are Arts, Humanities & Sciences. The university has more than 270 affiliated colleges, 9 campuses, 12 constituent colleges, and 6 regional colleges. With a campus sprawling across 600 acres, at present, Punjabi University offers various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, PG Diploma, UG Diploma, Certificate and Doctorate degree programmes.

Architecturally, the hostels are aesthetically laid out with plenty of open space and a lot of greenery. The rooms are comfortable, fitted with fan, lights and hard furniture. Each wing of the hostel has several verandahs and balconies. Comforts are important but they are not enough.

Hostel fees for Engineering Hostels (I. e. Band Singh Bahadur, Mai Bhago Hostel & Bebe Nanki) is INR 920 per month whereas for other Hostels it is INR 420 per month. There are six residential Hostels for boys and seven residential Hostels for girls. The Hostels have all modern amenities for comfortable living for 4000 students. The hostels are given on a merit basis only. The students of low-income groups can be given free accommodation in the University Hostels. Residents of a hostel, where a cooperative mess is being run shall have to pay INR 5000 in advance as a mess bill. This amount is refundable/adjustable as and when the student leaves the hostel or the mess is closed permanently.

Many infrastructure and facilities are available at Punjabi University Patiala. This comprises hostel amenities including a library, sports courts, cafeterias, auditoriums, and many others. On-campus housing is available for students at Punjabi University. The hostel has all the necessities on hand. There are tonnes of books in the library at Punjabi University in Patiala. The institution also has a specialised digital area containing materials including CDS DVDs, e-books, e-journals, and many more. The cafeteria at Punjabi University Patiala is another one of the university's amenities, and it serves both students and staff delicious and nutritious meals. Students and faculty frequently organise events and activities in the university's auditorium.
