At the undergraduate level, this deemed University offers BTech across 30 specialisations along with Integrated MTech across two specialisations. Admission to all these courses is subject to JEE Main scores for 50% of the seats and is subject to Class 12 scores for the remaining 50% of the seats. The application process for all these courses is conducted via online mode only. SASTRA Deemed-to-be University offers undergraduate, integrated first degree, postgraduate and doctoral programmes across multiple fields such as Engineering, Science, Law, Commerce, Management and Fine Arts. B.Tech, B.Com M.Tech (5-Year Integrated), M.Tech and M.Sc. Are the popular courses offered by Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy. The undergraduate engineering courses (B.Tech) offered by the SASTRA Deemed to be University are of four years (eight semesters). The university also offers Ph.D. programmes across various streams.

Yes, in addition to regular, full-time and part-time courses, SASTRA Deemed University also has a Directorate for Online and Distance Education (ODE) that offers numerous UG and PG courses via distance/online mode.

SASTRA offers merit-based scholarships to meritorious and skilled students under the following categories:

• It awards merit scholarships to the students who fall in the top 3 to 10% of high scorers in their semester examinations. The students are offered one-fifth of the semester fee
• The top 3% scorers at the university are offered two-fifth of the semester fee

The University has not released the placement report as of now. According to the NIRF report 2025, the median package offered to BTech and MTech students of the batch 2024 was INR 7.6 LPA and INR 5.5 LPA.

SASTRA University BTech seat intake at the main campus is 2265 and at Srinivasa Ramanujan Centre, the seat intake is 420. There is no seat reservation policy followed by SASTRA University. However, admission to 50% of the total seats are done considering the candidate's performance in JEE Mains and Class 12 (equal weightage given to both aspects), and the remaining 50% of seats are filled based on the merit secured in Class 12.

 

SASTRA University has a vibrant campus life with vast course curriculum. The university organises cultural fest, tech event, sports events to motivate studnets to showcase their talent. The university has various clubs for better learning. The campus has all the facilities like gym, cafeteria, hostel, and others. 

Candidate should have passed Class 12 with Maths Physics and Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology as their subjects from any recognised Board with a minimum aggregate of 60%. The total course fee for the BTech course ranges between INR 4.7 lakhs to INR 7.7 lakhs. SASTRA University offers BTech across 23 specialisations along with integrated MTech across two specialisations. Spread over four years and eight semesters, admission to all these courses is subject to JEE Main scores for 70% of the seats and is subject to Class 12 scores for the remaining 30% of the seats.

SASTRA University MBA admission is based on a national-level entrance exams followed by a Personal Interview (PI) conducted by the university. In order to be eligible for this programme, students must have completed their Class 12 and undergraduate degree in the relevant stream. The entrance exams considered for admission, include CAT, XAT, AIMAT, CMAT and AIMCAT. Those with a valid score in one of the afore-mentioned exams are eligible. Earlier, SASTRA University application process was conducted in both online and offline modes. However, 2022 onwards, the process has shifted completely to online mode.

SASTRA University BTech admission for the academic year 2024 has not yet started. In 2023, BTech applications were released in Aprit 23, 2023 and the deadline for submission was June 24, 2023. Based on the last year's schedule, it can be expected that this year also the SASTRA University BTech applications will release in April and the last date to apply will fall in June.
