The syllabus for SPSAT BTech will include topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. There will also be questions related to English aptitude. The SPSAT syllabus will be equivalent to the 12th board examination syllabus.

BBA

The syllabus for these exams will comprise questions from Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and English

SPSAT for MTech will have questions from respective disciplines, including Bio-Technology, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

Q:   Do I need to study the entire SPSAT syllabus?
A: 

Yes. Candidates are advised to refer to and study the entire SPSAT syllabus. Since SPSAT question paper will be prepared based on the official syllabus, candidates are advised to study all of the topics and units listed. This will give the candidates higher chances of performing well in the exam since the questions will be from their expected topics. However, the candidates can also give more time to important topics that will have more weightage.

Q:   Which subjects have to be studied for SPSAT?
A: 

As per official syllabus, candidates will have to prepare topics of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English for SPSAT. The syllabus will be on the same level as 12th standard (or equivalent) qualifying examination. However, if the candidates are opting for BTech in Biotechnology, they will be required to attempt Biology section instead of Mathematics.

As per authorities, level of SPSAT syllabus will be similar to 12th standard (or equivalent) qualifying examination. The topics that will be checked to prepare questions for examination will be of the same level as 12th standard qualifying exam syllabus. Therefore, candidates are advised to check SPSAT syllabus carefully while preparing for entrance exam.

As per SPSAT pattern, SPSAT 2026 will be held as an online test with a duration of 1 hour. All the questions will be MCQs. Candidates will get 1 mark for a correct answer and no negative marking for the Incorrect or unattempted questions.

Q:   How are the questions divided in the SPSAT paper?

SPSAT paper has four sections Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics/Biology. Each section include 10 questions. In total, candidates will have to attempt 40 MCQs in 60 minutes. No additional time will be given to candidates to complete examination. Each question will have multiple options, and candidates must select the correct answer.

As per official SPSAT exam pattern, total duration of the examination is 60 minutes. Candidates will have to attempt 40 objective MCQs within the allotted duration. No extra time will be provided to candidates to complete the examination. Candidates are advised to improve time management skills so that they will be able to complete entrance examination within allotted time.

The official SPSAT 2026 exam date is yet to be announced. The authorities are expected to release the SPSAT 2026 exam date soon. Candidates will be able to attempt SPSAT 2026 as an online test of 60 minutes. During the official duration, the candidates will have to attempt 40 multiple-choice questions. Qualified candidates will be considered eligible for admission.

Q:   What is the marking scheme for SPSAT?
A: 

The official marking scheme is available through SPSAT exam pattern. For every correct answer, candidates will be awarded one mark. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. Since there is no negative marking, the candidates are advised to all questions in the SPSAT paper. This will raise their chances of securing the scores required for admissions into their preferred courses.
