Q:   What is the duration of SPSAT?
A: 

As per the official SPSAT exam pattern, the total duration of the examination is 60 minutes. Candidates will have to attempt 40 objective multiple-choice questions within the allotted duration. No extra time will be provided to the candidates to complete the examination. Candidates are advised to improve their time management skills so that they will be able to complete the entrance examination within the allotted time. 

Q:   What is the marking scheme for SPSAT?
A: 

The official marking scheme is available through the SPSAT exam pattern. For every correct answer, the candidates will be awarded one mark. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. Since there is no negative marking, the candidates are advised to all questions in the SPSAT paper. This will raise their chances of securing the scores required for admissions into their preferred courses.

Q:   Which subjects have to be studied for SPSAT?
A: 

As per the official syllabus, the candidates will have to prepare topics of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English for SPSAT. The syllabus will be on the same level as the 12th standard (or equivalent) qualifying examination. However, if the candidates are opting for BTech in Biotechnology, then they will be required to attempt Biology section instead of Mathematics.

Q:   How are the questions divided in the SPSAT paper?
A: 

SPSAT paper will consist of four sections - Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics/Biology. Each section will consist of 10 questions. In total, the candidates will have to attempt 40 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes. No additional time will be provided to the candidates to complete the examination. Each question will have multiple options, out of which the candidates will have to select the correct answer.

A: 

SPSAT will be held in English. The authorities will not conduct the entrance examination is any other language. During the exam, the candidates will have to check the questions presented in English medium and select the correct answer from the provided options. The answer has to be marked in the system. In case the candidates face any issues while attempting the exam, they can contact the invigilators.
