Good campus to learn and placements except for the infrastructure part.

Placements: The placements at this Institute are really better than I expected. As I had a lot of friends in the final year, I asked them about their placement experience and I was quite surprised by their opinion. Most of them were placed on the campus itself. So, I hope the placements are pretty good in this university.

Infrastructure: There are several blocks in this campus. Not every block has good infrastructure and facilities. Classrooms are good and neatly maintained, but the seating tables are not so good and comfortable in some classrooms. In the lab, there is every facility required to learn.

Faculty: Some faculty members are not so friendly or not good in teaching. Mostly, you should have to learn by yourself. The course and subjects are relevant to the industry that we study for. The exams are not so difficult; it is easy to score good marks if we focus a bit on our internals.

Other: I am from the 2024 batch and cultural activities are happening so often, so if you are hoping to enjoy your campus life, it is a better university for that. Various hackathons and activities are conducted to help your learning, so it is good.

Good college if you use the given opportunities.

Placements: I am in 1st year, so I can't talk much about placements. I have heard there are good placements, but that is for CSE students, according to my knowledge. I haven't seen any IT students' photos or posters of those getting high placements. CSE is preferred more, according to me.

Infrastructure: I am a football player, so the lack of a football ground disturbs me every day when I think of playing. There's a turf, but it's not much enjoyable compared to an actual ground. If there were a ground, it would have been better. Otherwise, it is okay for a college like the RAMAPURAM campus.

Faculty: Faculty members are good, but they can be improved. The curriculum for Information Technology or IT students is very hectic. Extra classes and extra hours while CSE students have fewer hours compared to IT students. IT students would be less stressed if they made the timetable a little shorter. (I am talking about 1st year, no idea how it will be in 2nd year and the years to come).

Other: The college is good, but fewer North Indians are there. In the IT department, there are accountable North Indians, making it hard for North Indian students to manage.

Review of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai - Ramapuram Campus.

Placements: I am junior, and I asked my seniors; they told me good placement opportunities are there in our college, and the highest package they told me was around 25 LPA and average was 8 to 9 LPA, and top companies I am not sure, but mostly Google, Flipkart, Accenture, TCS, etc. will visit, and internships are also good in our college.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not good; there is limited space for everything; labs are good; classrooms are good in our college; and the mess and canteen are great in our college. We can't play sports because there is no ground in our college and indoor games.

Faculty: Faculty is good in our college, and they will definitely prepare students for industry level, and yes, pass percentage is good; we can pass semester exams, and we can also score well if we study a bit more, and there is mostly qualified teaching faculty there in our college.

Our college provides good placements.

Placements: Placements were very good on the Ramapuram campus after Kattankulathur. From the 4th semester, they will start giving you placement training where they will teach you several subjects like C, C+, operating systems, data structure & algorithm, and object-oriented programming.

Infrastructure: Our campus was not good but the infrastructure was better. We played cricket. There was a basketball court. Hostels were very good. There was a small playground.

Faculty: You don't need to worry about exams. There will be 50 marks for internal exams. There were 3 exams, and 50 marks for the external exam. Faculty members are not so good. They are average. Sometimes, you don't get what they teach, so you have to do it on your own. There are 3 cycle tests which are for 10, 15, and 15 marks, and the remaining 10 marks depend on the teacher.

Other: The college fee is too much. If you belong to a middle-class family then I will suggest you not join SRM. They charge you too much. In my time, the academic fee was Rs.2,00,000 and Rs.20,000 for career development. They also charge Rs.15,000 for the books. The exam fee is mandatory.

It has good faculty members and placements.

Placements: About 90% of students were placed in our college. Around 15 LPA salary package is the highest, 4 LPA is the average salary package and 2.5 LPA is the least salary package. Airtel, Cognizant, and IBM are the top recruiting companies for our course. About 80% of the students will be getting their internships by their 5th or 6th semester in companies like BSNL, Wipro, TATA, and so on.

Infrastructure: The ambiance of our classrooms is very comfortable. Hostels have Wi-Fi facilities and laundry facilities. The library is filled with lots of books to explore and gain knowledge. Mess and canteen foods are somewhat average in our college. Sports and games are not much concentrated in our college.

Faculty: Faculty members are very much helpful in our career development. All the faculties are highly qualified as most of the faculties are doctorates. They teach us with many real-time examples. The semester will not be that much tough as our faculty members train us in a way that we can answer all of the questions easily.

Other: Our campus has many technical and non-technical clubs.
