My review of this college.
Placements: They had the best placement cell. Every year, interviews from various MNCs and other companies were conducted for the passing out students, and they were assisted by the college for their success. Companies were highly reputed and followed strict rules and regulations while choosing their employees. They arrived at our college during the month of December, conducted interviews, and gave the list of selected candidates, who then joined their company after their graduation.
Infrastructure: Facilities in the hostel included broadband internet access, housekeeping, dry cleaning, and laundry services. Hostels also provided a neat and green environment with sports facilities for students to relax and enjoy their stay. Hostels had mess facilities at subsidized rates where students can enjoy nutritious and hygienic food.
Faculty: My faculty members were very good. They were supported us very well. Good teaching was as much about passion as it was about reason. It was about motivating students not only to learn, but teaching them how to learn, and doing so in a manner was relevant, meaningful, and memorable. Good teaching was about substance and treating students as consumers, and that’s how my lecturer taught us. At the start of the semester, we had an internal assessment exam along with a quiz and lab practical, each worth 40 marks. Then, after a month, we had the main semester exam. The course was, no doubt, world-class and competitive with any international school. Courses like Environment, Development Economics, Game Theory, and Industrial Economics were some of the value-added subjects, along with the specialization in Econometrics, which gave a competitive advantage to students.

My review of this college.
Placements: We had many companies assigned to our college. There were many reputed ones. The highest-paying companies came for job placements and summer internships. Some companies that came last year were JP Morgan, UBS, RBS, Credit Suisse, American Express, MasterCard, Experian, Deloitte, Bajaj Finserv, Nomura, and many more. The stipend ranged from Rs.50,000 to 1.2 Lakh per month, and the final placements paid between 10 and 31 LPA.
Infrastructure: Facilities in the hostel included broadband internet access, housekeeping, dry cleaning, and laundry services. Hostels also provide a neat and green environment with sports facilities for students to relax and enjoy their stay. Hostels had a mess facility at subsidized rates where students could enjoy nutritious and hygienic food.
Faculty: The course syllabus was updated year after year as new batches entered. Professors saw that when something new topic in the field has been researched, they generally put that thing into the course. My faculty was very good. They supported us very well. Good teaching was as much about passion as it was about reason. It was about motivating students not only to learn but also teaching them how to learn and doing so in a manner that was relevant, meaningful, and memorable. Good teaching was about substance and treating students as consumers. The course curriculum was very rigorous, as you had to follow the enormous syllabus regularly along with classes. In-house exams were conducted from time to time for the partial syllabus, and the end-semester exams were held for the complete syllabus.

Good faculty and infrastructure.
Placements: The strength of our class is 15. We are smaller in number. Our department doesn't provide internships and placements. We have to crack competitive examinations like the NET or state exams to ace in the field. One may also get a diploma offered by the Archaeological Survey of India to become eligible to go for field work.
Infrastructure: The university is large. It has a playground, a library, a canteen, auditorium and an amphitheater. It is calm and peaceful. The library is open to all. It provides books and journals for all subjects. Computer labs are located in the library only. Daily newspapers are also provided. The canteen is also open to all. It is usually kept clean and food is edible. The classrooms are well ventilated. A projector is equipped in all classrooms. Each department has its own library as well. Wi-Fi is connected throughout the whole campus. Washrooms are not usually cleaned and stink with no light. Sports are organized frequently and students participate. Annual functions are also organized in the auditorium, with students performing. I am not aware of the hostel much but I got from sources that they do not provide good rooms and food. After admission, students may apply to register in the hostel. We have three hostels: girls, boys and international.
Faculty: The teachers and office staff are helpful, humble and polite. They have completed their Ph.D. and other diplomas. They are quite knowledgeable in their field. They teach us well and tend to finish the syllabus early to give us time for revision. They mainly teach in Kannada, making it hard for some students to understand and communicate. They provided us with notes and referred us to some books. They are quite approachable. The end-of-semester exams are not that hard if you study well. We had to refer to previous year's question papers to score well and also to the notes.
Other: I was preparing for the CUET-PG 2023 examination when I came onto the university website. They are not under CUET-PG. Unable to crack the examination, I registered as a student at this university. I was able to crack the entrance test as well and was admitted to the department. The best thing about the course is that you gain knowledge and understand human history, which is interconnected with other fields as well. It also helps us to understand continuity and change. The course is great. I would like staff members to also communicate with students in other common languages, as it becomes hard for new students from other states to communicate and approach any staff.

Discontinued (Aug 2024)- M.A. in International Relations - Batch of 2022
Offered by Maharaja's College, University of Mysore

I suggest you do not join this college. Good teachers are leaving the college.
Placements: I am from the 2020-22 batch. I am from M.A. in International Relations course at this college. Here placements are completely off-campus. The terrible atmosphere for studies will leave you regretful. You will get zero guidance from anyone. Students have to do everything on their own. They only provide you notes from Google, which a 10th class student can do.
Infrastructure: There are no classrooms. We are attending classes in a room allotted to UG students who are from a different course. There is no Wi-Fi and no updated books in the library. There is no whiteboard and not enough chairs to sit in. Even the marker is brought by the visiting faculty members.
Faculty: We do not get knowledge about the subject. Faculty members are not qualified, and no one here is even NET qualified. They even don't know the names of the Latin American countries. Their teaching quality is poor. The course curriculum is relevant, but the situation here is grave. Here the students are asked to appear for a test on the third day of the class. They teach nothing, so they cannot even prepare a competitive question paper. The pass percentage is 100% because they have to report to the principal for the poor results of students.
Other: I have chosen this course because I have a keen interest in the subject. I left my job to study this course. The only good thing about this place is that I got to meet students from Afghanistan. The situation of the college is pathetic. The best thing about this course is that you get to learn new things every day. It is a great course for social science students. Our college should remove politics from the recruitment process of the teachers. It should provide academic books for reference. It should at least provide a recommendation letter to the students for internship. Authorities should focus on teaching rather than pointing out the faults of other teachers. Instead of petting ego, they should think about the student's future.
