Placements: Computer Science and Engineering students at RNS Institute of Technology have an approximate placement rate of 80–85%. The package ranges from 3.5 LPA to 26 LPA. The average package is around 5–6 LPA. Top recruiters include Infosys and TCS.

Infrastructure: Computer Science department has well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, campus-wide Wi-Fi. Also, a good library with sufficient academic resources. The overall infrastructure is well maintained and supports both academics and project work effectively.

Faculty: The college faculty members are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Most professors explaining concepts clearly and providing good academic support. The teaching is generally good. Around 60–70% of students get placed through campus selection.

Bad placements and bad labs,

Placements: Placements are so bad, and as an ECE student, only 3-4 out of 160 got placed, and that too for internships. They will tell you to have IT offers and that you will be allowed to sit for core placements, but later they don't shortlist you even if you have the skills and are well-fitted for that role. If you ask them, they will tell you it's the company's decision, not theirs. A person like me who spent an entire 4 years for core placement and believed them initially got a CS-related job offer, then they won't shortlist you; it doesn't matter to them.

Infrastructure: Don't ask about Wi-Fi; we don't have a single working multimeter in our labs. The worst lab experience I have ever had; even my own budget-friendly lab kits are far better than this one. They expect us to complete our lab tasks even knowing that they won't get any output if they perform experiments.

Faculty: To be honest, there are some staff who are very good and knowledgeable, but the problem is they are very few, and we won't get more classes from them. Ours is VTU curriculum, and to be honest, it's not industry-relevant. I worked hard to get an internship at a startup; as someone who wants to get into VLSI or embedded systems, you need to work hard and take as many extra courses as you can.

Other: To be honest KCET gave me this college I regret a lot not clearing JEE.

Average college, good infrastructure, bad placements for ECE.

Placements: Below 10% was placed in Core companies. The competition is very high as all the Dayanand Sagar campus compete together for placement. 70-80% of the companies that came were for Sales and BDA/BDE roles. Top recruitment was Texas Instruments for 24LPA (1 person from our campus).

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is manageable, the canteen is pretty good, and it has many vending machines. No ground, but has a gym, Indoor badminton. Two hostel buildings for boys, and it is a bit expensive, as I have heard. A lot of PGs are nearby. The hostel campus has a separate food court and has south indian food.

Faculty: ECE on our campus is pretty stressful. The curriculum is average. A few technical clubs are not being created. Hackathons weren't being conducted before, but that's changing now. Internal exams are copied by most. Lecturers are pretty friendly, 60% of subjects aren't helpful for placement, but that's the case for all BE courses.

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) offers full-time BTech and BE courses in multiple specialisations. The UG-level programmes are offered via the university's affiliated colleges and constituent centres. Good Academics and Infrastructure, Placements Need Improvement.

Placements: Almost 40-50 students will place every year, and the average package is 4-5 LPA. There is no placement support or preparation from the department. We should compete with all other departments. The lowest package is 3.6 LPA, and the highest is 9 LPA. Not many companies are related to the core. .

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. College has separate blocks for all the departments. Labs are good and well-maintained, and classrooms are good, and we have a smart board in the classroom. There is no playground in the college, and we have a gym and indoor facilities available on campus.

Faculty: Faculty are supportive, qualified, and knowledgeable, and they use modern teaching techniques such as smart class, presentations, and hands-on laboratory sessions. They encourage students to participate in the technical competitions and research activities.

A good infrastructure, valuable teachers, and the best sports facilities and faculty.

Placements: 70% students get placed, the highest package is 53 Lacs, the lowest is about 4 Lacs, and the average is 6-7 Lacs. Top companies are Amazon, Intel, Samsung, AMD, BOSCH, Microsoft, Adobe, Jio, etc., in software engineering, AI engineering, data science, and many others.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in every block. Labs are there for coding and other departments. A library is available with all the books. Classrooms are good with projectors in every room. Hostel facilities are also good. Two hostels are for boys and one for girls. There are also three canteens inside the campus, and medical facilities are available only outside the college. Sports rooms are there, an indoor gym is there, and for football, a turf is also there.

Faculty: Teachers are very friendly and cooperative towards students, and they teach one-on-one if the student does not understanding. Yes, it makes the students industry-ready as the real-time technical skills are taught. It's moderate to tough to clear the exams with good marks.

Other: I was interested in CSE, so I chose that.

In addition to Joint Entrance Examination Main, the college also accepts scores of other entrance exams such as COMEDK UGET, Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (KPGCET), etc. Candidates must also have valid eligibility criteria, i.e., a pass in Class 12 with 45% aggregate in PCM for GM students and above 40% aggregate for SC/ ST students.

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) admissions 2024 are entrance based. Candidates who wish to take admission to VTU BTech proramme must appear for the entrance examination. The College does not offer direct admission to candidates in any of the programmes. Candidates who wish to take admission to the BTech programme must appear for either KCET or COMEDK and qualify the eligiblity criteria.

Visvesvaraya Technological University accepts multiple entrance exams fro BTech. KCET/ COMEDK UGET/ JEE Main are few of the entrance exams for BTech admission. Candidates are required to apply/regiater for the exam by visiting their official website. However, there are a minimum eligibility criteria for the BTech, which candidates must qualify for admission.

Eligibility Criteria: Class 12 or equivalent qualification with English as one of the language with minimum 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ ST and OBC category candidates) in Physics and Mathematics along with one optional subject

The expected last date to register for Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) UGET Examination will be during the month of April . ( Tentative).

The registration process will be accepted through online mode only. Candidates can visit the official website to know more about the examination in detail.

Q: What is KCET application form correction date?

Karnataka Examination Authority will commence the KCET application form facility after the conclusion of the exam at the official website. Applicants can make changes in the KCET application form in online mode. Candidates are allowed to make changes in certain fields only. Applicants are advised to cross-check all the details before submitting information. KEA do not entertain any request for change in KCET application form after the conclusion of correction facility.

Karnataka Examination Authority conducts KCET 2025 exam every year for the admissions to engineering and pharmacy courses offered by participating institutes. Applicants appearing in the exam are advise to follow all the exam day guidelines and instructions as given by the invigilator. Reach the exam centre atleast 60 minutes before the commencement of the exam.

Do not leave the exam hall before the conclusion of the exam.
