There are around 250 colleges that offer admissions to engineering and architecture courses. There are both morning and evening shifts colleges. Applicants have to fill in the college and course choices at the time of KCET option entry facility. The admissions to architecture colleges will be done on the basis of NATA score 2025 while engineering admissions will be done on KCET 2025 score only. KCET UGCET counseling is generally conducted in three grounds. KEA will first release the KCET mock seat allotment result after the conclusion of the choice-filling process. The first two grounds of KCET 2024 counseling will be conducted for birth general merit and Hyderabad Karnataka region candidates. However round 3 or round 2 extended will be conducted as per the availability of seats. Candidates have to complete the KCET counseling registration as per the schedule. Only successfully registered candidates will be allowed to participate in the KCET 2025 extended round counseling.

📂Keep your documents ready for verification
Documents required for KCET counselling: Before participating in seat allotment, document verification is mandatory. Candidates must report to their designated KEA verification centres with both originals and photocopies of the following:
- KCET 2025 Admit Card
- Class 10 and Class 12 Marksheets
- Study Certificate from the school
- Caste and Income Certificate (if applicable)
- KCET 2025 Rank Card
- Kannada Medium and Rural Study Certificate (if applicable)
- Aadhar Card (Identity Proof)
- Special category certificates (like NCC, Sports, Defence, etc.)
To download the KCET 2025 admit card and rank card, candidates need to provide their login ID and password details. Karnataka Examinations Authority conducts KCET UGCET counselling in online mode. Applicants first have to complete the KCET counselling registration followed by choice filling and locking. At the time of counselling registration candidates have to upload certain documents in the candidate portals. A list of documents required to be uploaded at the time of KCET counselling registration are given below.

Yes, you can still participate in the KCET counselling further grounds even if they are allotted seats. Applicants allotted seats can opt for float or sliding option from the login. If you want to get a seat in the same college but a different course then you can choose the slides option. However, if applicants is looking for upgradation in the college allotted then they must float option. If candidates choose freeze option after seat allotment then there is no provisions to participate in the further grounds of counseling.
Karnataka Examinations Authority will commence KCET 2025 counseling soon at the official website. Applicants declared qualified are eligible to participate in the counseling process of KCET 2025. Candidates first need to complete the KCET 2025 counselling registration. After successful registration, applicants can proceed to complete the choice filling and document uploading. After the document verification process, KEA has also commenced the choice filling and locking process. Applicants have to fill out their preferred courses and colleges at the time of choice filling. Based on the choices filled by the candidates, the exam authority will release the KCET seat allotment result at the official website. The final step is to report to the allotted institute for fee payment.
KCET 2025 seat allotment result will be released at the official website. After KCET seat allotment result, the candidate receives a confirmation email at the registered ID. Applicants are also informed through a registered mobile number. Applicants need to login using their user ID to download KCET 2024 seat allotment letter. Candidates allotted seat must report to the institute as per the date & time mentioned in the letter. It is necessary to pay the complete fee at the time of physical reporting.

Stage 2: Web Option Entry (Choice Filling)
Once verified, candidates can access the online counselling portal using their secret code.

- There is no limit to how many choices you can submit.

Stage 3: Mock Allotment Result Announcement
KEA publishes a mock seat allotment list, which is just a trial run to help students understand how choices impact allotments.
- They can modify, rearrange, delete, or add new options based on this list.
- The final saved options will be considered for the first round of allotment.
Stage 4 -KCET 2025 First Round Seat Allotment Result
Once the actual seat allotment result is declared, candidates will have four choices to select:
- Satisfied with the seat (CHOICE 1) - Accept the seat, pay the fee, download the admission order, and report to the allotted college. (No further participation in counselling is required.) Submit and exit the process.
- Satisfied but want to try Round 2 (CHOICE 2) - Hold the seat, pay the fee, but do not join the college. You can participate in the next round.
- Not satisfied and want to try Round 2 without holding a seat (CHOICE 3) - You’ll wait for the second round without claiming your current allotment.
- Exit counselling (CHOICE 4)- If completely dissatisfied, you can choose to exit from KCET counselling.
KCET Counselling Round 2 and Extended Rounds
Round 2: Revised Option Entry. Only candidates who selected Choice 2 or 3 in Round 1 are eligible.
- Choice 2 candidates: Can rearrange their previous options, but cannot add new ones.
- Choice 3 candidates: Can alter, delete, or add new options.
- Final options saved will be used for Round 2 allotment.
Note: If you're in Choice 2, you must pay the fee again, not join the college and participate in the next round results.
Final Stage: Extended Round or Casual Vacancy Round
This is the last round of KCET counselling:
- All eligible candidates can modify or delete their options.
- Once allotment is done in this round, you must compulsorily join the allotted college.
- If you paid the fee in Round 2 but didn’t join, no refunds will be given after this final round.
