NATA 2026 counselling will not be held by the authorities of the Council of Architecture (CoA) as a common process. Qualified candidates will have to apply individually to the institutes of their preference for admissions based on their obtained NATA 2026 score. Since there is no common NATA counselling process, the candidates will have to personally research and apply to the state-level and private institutes that they wish to get admission into. Eligibility for BArch Admissions through NATA 2026

Candidates with a valid NATA score are eligible for BArch admissions. However, there are some basic criteria that candidates must meet be apply for BArch courses.
 
  • Candidates should have passed Class 12.
  • The age of candidates must be a minimum of 17 years old as of July 31 of admission year.
  • The candidates must have a valid NATA 2026 score, i.e., a minimum of 70 marks out of 200.
 
Note: Every institute will have eligibility criterion for BArch admissions through NATA 2026. Candidates must go to official website of preferred institute and check eligibility criteria.

Q:   What minimum marks are required for NATA?
A: 

Candidates are required to secure minimum qualifying marks of NATA to be eligible. Total mark of NATA 2026 is 200. However, candidates will have to score a minimum of 70 marks to be qualified for admission. It is to be noted that qualifying marks are important only for qualifying for examination and being eligible for BArch admissions. The criteria for admission to BArch courses will differ as per institutes that candidates are apply.

Q:   What are the NATA 2026 counselling dates?
A: 

CoA will not release the NATA 2026 counselling dates. No common counselling process will be held for NATA qualified candidates. For admissions, the candidates will have to individually apply to their preferred institute. The individual counselling dates will be prepared and released by the participating institutes. Candidates will have to check the counselling dates and apply accordingly to their preferred institutes.

Q:   What is the basic eligibility criteria to be eligible for BArch admissions through NATA?
A: 

For admissions into the preferred BArch institutes, the candidates should meet the basic eligibility criteria. If the candidates do not meet the basic eligibiity criteria for BArch admissions based on NATA scores, then their chances of admission will be minimal. 

  • The candidates should have passed 10+2th standard qualifying examination with minimum required marks.
  • Should be minimum 17 years old as of July 13 of the admission year.
  • The candidates should have secured a valid NATA 2023 score i.e., minimum 70 marks out of 200.

Various states provide admissions into its Architecture institutes to the students who have secured a valid NATA score. Some of the top states and their respective admission process for BArch through NATA scores are.

NATA 2026 is being conducted every weekend from April 2026 in two sessions per day. Candidates will be eligible to attempt a maximum of three sessions. In case a candidate appears for more than one session, the best of the scores shall be considered for admission. Candidates can use the best score to apply for admission into the B.Arch courses offered in Kerala.

A:

Documents required during NATA 2026 counselling

NATA counselling is based on the NATA score. During the counselling process, the candidates must submit original documents and photocopies of the documents for verification. The list of documents required may differ for various institutes, but some of the basic documents required for counselling are given below.

Q:   Can I know about NATA counselling process?
A: 

There is no common counselling process for NATA qualified candidates. For BArch admissions, the candidates will have to individually apply to their preferred institutes. The dates and guidelines regarding the BArch admissions will be released by the respective authorities. Majority of the Architecture institutes offer admissions based on NATA scores so the candidates will have many options to select from. The candidates are advised to keep checking the official websites of their preferred institutes for any updates regarding the counselling and admission dates.

Q:   Which documents will be required for BArch admissions through NATA?
A: 

Candidates will be required to verify documents while applying for BArch admissions at various institutes through NATA scores. The list of documents to be verified may vary as per the institute that candidate has applied for; however, the basic documents that have to be prepared and may be required for verification are - NATA admit card and score card, 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and pass certificates, ID proof and passport photograph. If applicable, candidates will also have to present category and domicile certificates. 

Q:   Which NATA score will be considered for B.Arch admission if I have appeared for all the sessions?
A: 

Candidates will be eligible to apply and attempt one or more sessions of NATA. In case a candidate appears for 2 tests, the best of the 2 scores shall be the valid score and in the case of more than 2 attempts, the valid score shall be the average of the best scores. All candidates will be required to mandatory qualify at least one session of NATA to be eligible for B.Arch admissions into the respective Architecture colleges and institutes. Candidates are advised to attempt as many sessions as they can to have a higher chance of securing good scores.

Q:   What is the process of getting colleges through NATA?
A: 

There is no common counselling for NATA qualified candidates. After the results are declared, the candidates will be able to individually apply to the institute of their preference. The details regarding the counselling process will be announced individually by the institutes. As per the schedule of their preferred institute, the candidates will have to apply for admission and submit their details. NATA scores will be considered for allotment of seats.
