IIT Kanpur Cutoff 2024: Check Category-wise JEE Advanced Cutoff Ranks

IIT Kanpur accepts JEE Advanced ranks for admission to the BTech and other courses. JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 has been released for admission to IIT Kanpur. The round 1 cutoff for the General AI category candidates is ranged between 270 and 9662. the lowest rank one can achieve is,  270 for B.Tech. in Computer Science Engineering for the General All India category candidates.  IIT Kanpur cutoff 2026 was released for admission to the MSc course and its various specialisations based on the IIT JAM entrance exam. The cutoff was published for different All India categories in the form of opening and closing ranks.

IIT Kanpur Cutoff 2024 was released for admission to M.Tech courses was concluded, on the basis of GATE exam. In IIT Kanpur, the cutoff was released for M.Tech. in Photonics Science and Engineering, with the cutoff rank of 658 for the General AI category. A valid GATE score is required for admission to the M.Tech programme in the case of regular (non-sponsored) candidates. Additionally, A bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science (four-year programme) or a master's degree in Science with marks/ CPI not below the specified minimum is required for M.Tech admission.

IIT Kanpur accepts JEE Advanced and JEE Main scores for admission to BTech. Admission to all the courses is based on scores obtained in the entrance examinations such as GATE,  JEE3 JAM,  CEED and CAT. Along with UG and PG courses, IIT Kanpur also offers PhD in various specialisations. Selection for the same is done based on GATE scores followed by a Written Test/ Personal Interview conducted by the institute.

IIT Kanpur accepts GATE scores for admission to the M.Tech course. As per the GATE COAP round 1 cutoff, the most competitive course was Microelectronics and VLSI with a closing rank of 935 for the General AII India category students. So, to secure a seat in IIT Kanpur, candidates must secure more than 900 for General AI category.

CEED is the accepting exam for admission to the MDes course. To get admission to IIT Kanpur for MDes, the candidate must qualify for the IIT Kanpur CEED Cutoff 2024. The cut off rank in Round 6 for B.Sc. in Chemistry is 11824 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this. IIT Kanpur JEE Advanced 2025 cutoffs have been published for admission to various BTech programmes. In Round 6, JEE Advanced cutoffs for 2025 varied between the 271 and 2771 values. Notably, the BTech in CSE is highly competitive among General category students under the All India Quota, with a the lowest Round 6 cutoff rank of 271.

Candidates seeking admission to BS at IIT Kanpur must have a valid score in JEE Main, JEE Advanced and go through JoSAA counselling for final admission. Admission is completely entrance exam-based and candidates seeking admission can not get into IIT Kanpur with only the scores of JEE Main. JEE Advanced followed by JoSAA counselling is the mandatory requirement. Additionally, to be eligible for the BSc programme, students are required to have passed their Class 12 with at least 75% aggregate with Science subjects (i.e., Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics).
