Internships at Vellore Institute of Technology

Vellore Institute of Technology was established with the goal of providing the finest higher education in line with global standards. They foster the exchange of students and professors and support team-based research projects for the benefit of both the universities in partnership. Many of their graduates go on to pursue higher education at other institutions, and they make them proud by producing outstanding work that is well regarded throughout India. This institution provides nearly 90 courses in undergrad, postgrad, and doctorate courses. These courses are divided into various categories such as Engineering, Technology, Science, Humanities and Management. The Choice-Based Credit System is implemented, and the courses are structured in compliance with the regulations of the government. The students are provided with offers in this placement programme with a cost of company (CTC) of at least INR 10 LPA. Around 140 businesses offered 1021 extraordinary dream placement opportunities as per the previous year's records. Microsoft has provided the highest CTC among them, at INR 41.60 LPA. Seven students were placed at Microsoft, helping them achieve their dream offer. The VIT Placement Team is also in charge of organising internships for students. The Placement Cell offers foreign internships with top MNCs throughout the world in addition to placements for students in their senior year.

The Vellore Institute of Technology guarantees job placements for all of its graduates with reputable MNCs and start-ups. After their degree is over, students have a range of job placement options to pick from through the CDC of VIT Office. The management consistently worked to forge lasting bonds with the institution's commercial partners. Many more new organisations have emerged on campus in recent years, offering both internship programmes and final placements. Since 2015, the Career Development Center has played a significant role in offering placement and internship opportunities abroad. In the top MNCs in the USA, UK, Ireland, Japan, China, Israel, Taiwan, UAE, Kenya, Germany, Nigeria, and Italy, they put an average of 10 learners every year.

Internship Opportunities for the Top Courses:

For students enrolled in MBA, M.Tech, Ph.D and other postgraduate programmes, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) provides internship programmes. Internship programmes are offered to students pursuing the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Technology (M.Tech), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degrees (IP). There are no internship options available for other programmes, such as B.Tech, B.Com or B.Sc programmes.

Internship information:

Both offline and online methods will be available for the Internship Program (IP). Each student is required to participate in the internship programme (IP) before the conclusion of their first year. This takes place inside the framework of the organisation. The IP lasts for approximately one to two months. All first-year students are required to do an internship in their chosen functional area because it is a crucial component of the curriculum. A number of companies actively participate in the internship as well as placement and hiring processes with VIT, including Intel, eBay, Amazon, Dell, GE, Texas Instruments, Schneider Electric, DE

Shaw & Co, Hitachi, HP, PayPal, Tata Motors, L&T, Dr. Reddy's, Bosch, Deloitte, Morgan

Stanley, Qualcomm, Ashok Leyland, Honda, Ford, Global Analytics, TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, and Infosys. In addition to providing the students with first-hand experience and opportunities to put what they have learned into practice, these internship programmes enable the students to earn a stipend. After the internship programmes are completed, the majority of the firms provide internship completion certificates and letters of encouragement. Only a few companies offer monthly stipends in the range of INR 5,000 to 20,000. The amount of this payment is determined by how well the student does in IP. Software, Finance, Banking, Marketing, Technology, Business Development, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, Business Analytics, and Consulting are the top industries where students may do internships.

The process of the internship programmes (IP):

Students must fill out a form provided by the Vellore Institute of Technology's career development centre to register their selected functional area. The learners have been given information on the role and job description based on that firm. Based on their performance throughout the interview and evaluation procedure, qualified students are chosen. Internships outside of college are another option for students. It must be completed within the institution's allotted span of time. Students must turn in the internship completion certificate that the firm provides after completing the Internship Program (IP) off campus.
