Jamia Millia Islamia Admission 2021: Highlights
Jamia admissions to all the diploma and certificate courses are based on a candidate's performance in the University-conducted entrance exam called Jamia Millia Islamia Entrance Exam. The JMI Entrance Exam is conducted annually in offline mode at seven examination centres, including Thiruvananthapuram, Delhi, Lucknow, Guwahati, Patna, Srinagar and Kolkata. The application window for JMI admission generally opens in May every year. Jamia Millia Islamia Admission 2021: Additional Courses
Apart from the UG, PG and doctoral programmes, the University also offers Diploma, Advanced Diploma, PG Diploma and Certificate courses in different streams. Yes, Jamia Millia Islamia offers admission through CUET UG and PG in some of the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Candidates seeking admission in such programmes have to fill CUET application form along with JMI application form and appear in CUET exam. Candidates will be called for counseling as per the marks obtained in CUET. A cut off for such courses will be released and the candidates will be given admission accordingly.
Jamia Millia's Admission process for 2023 is conducted in online mode only. Candidates willing to seek admission need to visit the official website of the university to fill out the application form, attach documents and pay the application fee. While submitting the application, candidates are required to make a payment of the application fee via credit card/ debit card/ net banking. The application fee once received successfully at JMI's end is non-refundable and no correspondence on this subject is entertained

Jamia Millia Islamia offers seat reservation in almost all the courses based on the category of the students. The details regarding the same are enlisted below:

- If seats remain vacant in the categories of women applicants and OBC-NCL, then those seats will be transferred to the Muslim minority category.

- For BArch programme, no seats are available for foreign candidates
- NCC Cadets and NSS Volunteers will be eligible for a relaxation of 5% and 2%, respectively in the aggregate of the qualifying examination.
Jamia Millia Islamia Scholarships 2021
The University offers several scholarships on a merit and needs basis. The details regarding some of the JMI scholarships are given below:
- Jamia Merit Scholarship: The top scorers of the respective exams are eligible for this scholarship.
- Merit Scholarship for the Centre of Management: This scholarship is given to MBA first and second-semester students. The top scorers of semester exams are awarded this scholarship.
- SC/ST/OBC Scholarship: This scholarship is given to the reserved category candidates. Economically weak candidates are also eligible for this scholarship.
- Scholarship for International Exchange Programme: Candidates who are selected for the International Exchange Programme are eligible for this scholarship. This scholarship is offered by the Centre for Management Studies.
Apart from the above scholarships, students can also apply for other scholarships offered at Jamia. Some of them are listed below:
Candidates need to appear in the CUET UG exam to get admission in some of the undergraduate courses of Jamia Millia Islamia. Jamia Millia Islamia offers a two-year MA programme to the stduents across more than 30 specialisations. It is a two-year programme spread over four semesters, admission to which is based on a candidate’s performance in JMI Entrance Exam. The final merit list for admission to MA at JMI is prepared on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the entrance test, seat reservation and relaxation criteria of JMI.
