Yes. You can apply for admissions into the VIT Vellore campus with a rank of 10822 in VITEEE. Candidates with a rank between 1 and 1,00,000 will be eligible for admissions into the VIT Vellore/Chennai/Bhopal/Andhra Pradesh campuses. However, candidates with a rank above 1,00,000 will not be eligible for Vellore and Chennai campuses. These candidates can apply for admissions into the Bhopal and Andhra Pradesh campuses.

The first step is to pay INR 1200 application fee in online mode.
Applicants should register for VITMEE, a Computer Based Objective test at indicated test centres.
The list of short-listed candidates will be published on the website or personal SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number for online VITMEE counselling.
Shortlisted Candidates will be asked to choose the preference of campus and branch. Selected candidates will have to pay an advance payment of INR 1 lakh.
Candidates who fail to pay in advance before the deadline will not be considered for admission.
Candidates who have secured a rank upto 1 Lacs will be eligible for B.Tech admissions into VIT Vellore and Chennai. The counselling dates for different ranks varies as per the authorities. For those candidates with a rank above 1 Lacs, admissions will be open only for VIT Bhopal and VIT Andhra Pradesh. They will not be eligible for VIT Vellore and Chennai admissions.
Yes, GATE exam score is valid for admissions to M.Tech courses at Vellore Institute of Technology. Applicants can also apply through VITMEE exam score 2026. Candidates appearing through the GATE score must upload their scorecard at the time of filling the application form.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria: Students for admission to the Bachelor of Technology (BTech) program must have passed class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 55% from a recognised board. Students should have appeared for the VITEEE exam conducted by the institution or JEE Mains exam. Students should have scored the good percentage for getting admission in this course.

I do go with Thapar. A friend did M.Sc there and had a good experience with faculty and research exposure. VIT is also good, but personally I'd rank it Thapar > VIT > Banasthali for M.Sc Chemistry.
