I am satisfied but also not satisfied just because of their huge fees.

Placements: In my class, there were 3 sections, and in each section, there were 80 students, so there was a total of 240 students in my CSE branch. According to previous data in my branch, almost 85-88 percent of students got placed. Last year, the highest package offered was 1.45 crores per annum, but it was off-campus and not on-campus.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. In 1st year, we get double-sharing rooms. The size of the room is too small according to 2 students. We get Wi-Fi, LAN facility, and 24-hour electricity. Mess is also available inside the hostel, and the quality of food is quite good. A drinking water facility is there in the mess.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and helpful. If we want, then they will definitely help us. The teaching quality is quite good. I'm currently in the 1st year, so I can say that the course follows the old syllabus as in all colleges. Semester exams are not too tough, and they're in the medium range. There is a relative grading system, so if our peer is not doing that much good, then we can perform better there.

Other: I have the option to choose NIT Jamshedpur for the mechanical engineering course as well as BIT Mesra for the CSE branch, so I asked many seniors as well as teachers about this, and I remembered that almost all teachers suggested this college to me, so I chose it. The biggest fest named Bitotsav, is organised. E summit, Pantheon, and many more fests are also organised. There are many clubs to participate in.

College life at BIT Mesra, BIT Hub.

Placements: The placement for this batch is going well, just as good as it goes for the previous batch. Renowned companies visit the campus for both circuital and non-circuital placements, including De Shaw, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, NatWest, Flipkart, ZS, Cisco, Visa, UKG, Razorpay, Warner Bros, Paytm, Uber, Walmart, Oracle, etc. Students get commendable placements and internships based on their hard work and resumes. Some students also crack off-campus placements. In the previous batch, the highest package received is 1.45 crore at Rubrik with an average of 11 LPA. Over 200 recruiters make 1080 offers.

Infrastructure: The campus is huge and spacious with a comfortable arena comprising cafes, shops, and food trucks. The campus has 13 hostels, 2 for girls and the rest for boys. The quality of the mess food varies, from delicious on some days to average on others. The sports complex is well-constructed, large, and includes various sports grounds, including a cricket oval. Gyms are also provided. The campus has an in-built dispensary with 24/7 medical assistance and ambulance facilities. Campus Wi-Fi is available 24/7.

Faculty: Faculty is quite supportive and friendly. The professors are knowledgeable, approachable, informative, and provide vast professional opportunities. Seniors are helpful too, guiding us throughout. There are different machines, labs, and research and development buildings. We have mid-semester exams of 25 marks and end-of-semester exams of 25 marks. The rest is evaluated based on quizzes of 10 marks each and assignments. Lab marks are evaluated based on lab performance, lab viva, and lab quizzes. The overall pass percentage is around 40. Maintaining 75 percent attendance is mandatory.

Other: Maybe the overall maintenance of the infrastructure could be improved, but our college does regular work on it. We have a cultural fest, BITOTSAV, and a tech fest, Pantheon. BITOTSAV is a four-day event with heritage night, cultural evening, cool mornings, and fantastic afternoons, and it ends with an amazing and electrifying concert. The tech fest combines cultural evenings, performances, events, and hackathons with DJ nights. Scholarships are also provided based on CG.

Satisfied with faculty and placements in 2025. Improvement is required in the hostel mess food.

Placements: My batch is 2022 - 2026, and the course opted for is computer science and engineering. Last year, for my immediate seniors, the placement was pretty good. Almost 70% of the total strength of this course batch gets placed with respectable offers, and hopefully. It is going to be spectacular again for my placement year. Top recruiting companies are Google, Salesforce, Atlassian, Accenture, Microsoft, Fastenal, UKG, Arcesium, and more. The top roles offered are SWE, SDE, Data Analyst, etc. The highest packages offered are around 60 and 45 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure here is great as it provides ample resources required for students. Everything from hostels to sanitation is up to the mark. The library is open from 9 AM to 9 PM on weekdays and 9 AM to 6 PM on weekends. Classrooms are excellent, fully air-conditioned, and have proper projectors. Hostels Wi-Fi speed is pretty good (around 800 Mbps). Coming to the food quality, the canteen and all the food areas are amazing, but the hostel mess food is kind of average. Sports and games, along with medical facilities, are very good.

Faculty: We have very supportive and understanding professors who always think about the betterment of students. As for the teaching quality, they sometimes go overboard, but generally, they do their work fine. In my personal opinion, the course curriculum alone does not make you industry-ready. You have to make further preparations from other online sources. Semester exams are moderately hard. The pass percentage is 40%.

Other: The skills you develop while undergoing this course are tremendously helpful for actual industrial work in this field. That is why it is the best thing about the course and why I chose this course. Fests and all are great, so enjoyable.

Overall review of college.

Placements: The placement for this season has been good and the batch of the EEE department has received 100% placement this year. For computer science students, the placement as I have enquired from seniors is around 60%-70% percent till now. The highest package as I heard is around 80 LPA this year.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are good, with digital smart classes. Wi-Fi facilities are good. Library is also good. Wi-Fi facilities are available 24/7 and the speed is also kind of okay. The mess food as usual sometimes it is good but sometimes it's a nightmare. Medical facilities are good and there is a dispensary available every day. Sports facilities are available in every hostel for badminton, table tennis, carrom, and volleyball.

Faculty: Faculty members of some departments are very chill but some of them are very cruel in terms of everything teaching strictness and all. Semester exams are easy if you study well and resources are also made available by seniors. Course curriculum of any engineering college is not relevant you need to work hard on your own to be industry-ready.

Placements are good if you are willing to work hard college will really help you.

Placements: The batch intake is very high, which makes the placements more CGPA-based. This means that students need to show their skills during the interview phase, but they need a good GPA to even be eligible for an interview. Core placements are better somehow, but case paper checking is easier in those branches, so students in those branches tend to have higher GPAs.

Infrastructure: The first-year hostels were very nice, but the second-year hostels are terrible. There is a severe lack of space, and single rooms are allocated to double sharing. We talked to the officials, and their response was that they are not allowed to build new hostels due to government restrictions even though they have plenty of land.

Faculty: Most of the professors are very good, and they are very approachable. They have high qualifications, and most of them have PhDs and studied abroad. All classes are taught in English, although the professors sometimes speak in Hindi.

Sports facilities are good but need 2 be improved, as they are not at par with the old IITs. If you compare our sports meet Vajra to IIT BHU's sports meet Spardha, then we stand no where.But at the same time our sports facilities are far better than almost all NIT's.
