CBSE's cancelled the CBSE 10th exams for all. Read further to know how it will release the CBSE 10th Results 2020

CBSE 10th Results 2020 were supposed to be released by August 15 after the conduction of the pending 10th, 12th board exams, according to an official statement given by the HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’. However, now, CBSE agreed to cancel the CBSE 10th Board Exams 2020 after the SC requested the Board to reconsider its decision on the conduction of the pending 10th, 12th board exams amid the ongoing pandemic situation, the declaration date of the CBSE 10th results appears unexpected.

CBSE canceled the pending CBSE 10th Board Exams for the students all across the country except the ones situated in the North-East District of Delhi. While the decision on the conduction of the pending CBSE 10th Board Exams was pending until today. CBSE finally released its decision to scrap the CBSE 10th Board Exams 2020. CBSE clearly stated that students who were yet to appear for the CBSE 10th board exams, their 10th board results will be released based on internal assessment.

CBSE 10th Result 2020 Passing Marks Criteria

With the decision regarding the cancellation of the pending CBSE 10th Board Exams, the CBSE 10th passing criteria changed. While CBSE is yet to release details, it clearly stated that the CBSE 10th Results 2020 will be released based on the internal assessments. Students will be informed about all the latest updates about the CBSE 10th passing criteria, grading system, marking criteria, etc. here. Until then, let’s talk about the usual CBSE 10th passing marks/criteria 2020.

Students must obtain a grade higher than E in all 5 subjects in order to qualify the CBSE 10th Class Result 2020. The passing mark for each subject is 33 per cent. CBSE Board will follow the 9-point grading system to award a certain grade in CBSE high school result 2020:

How to calculate CGPA of CBSE Class 10 Result 2020?

Step 1: Add your grade points of the main five subjects

Step 2: Now, divide it by 5

For example, if your grade points for the five main subjects are: 9, 8, 9, 9 and 7, then

Step 1: Add the grade points: 9+8+9+9+7 = 42

Step 2: Divide it by 5; 42/5 = 8.4

Thus, your CGPA will be 8.4.

CBSE 10th Results 2020: How to convert CGPA into the percentage

  • In order to convert overall CGPA into the percentage, multiply CGPA with 9.5.
  • For example, When CGPA is 8.4, it should be multiplied by 9.5,
  • Thus, 8.4 x 9.5 = 79.80%
