B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2028

A boring campus life at Amrita.
Placements: My batch is the 2024 batch and my year of passing is 2028. In my branch, 22% of students are placed through campus interviews. The average package is 8 LPA. The internships are also allocated to students within our campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our campus at present is nice as we are staying in the new blocks. So, it is nice. The hostels are old and very bad. The food is somewhat okay, but in the morning, we can't eat, and even in the night. There are also canteens available.
Faculty: The teachers on our campus are qualified. They help us in many ways, including extracurricular activities. The curriculum is relevant, but staying with that, the timetable is somewhat hard for us to maintain, but it's okay.
Other: No.

The college is very strict but it is very good to join here for a better future.
Placements: I do not know the exact number of students who get placed in our course and medium-range placements are done here. The highest package is 16 LPA and the lowest package is 5 LPA. The average package is 6 LPA. I do not know about the top companies. I am still studying and I do not know anything about internships.
Infrastructure: On campus, the Wi-Fi is very good but they don't allow access to unnecessary sites so that students do not distract students from studies. We use VPN to see some impotent websites. Labs and classrooms are very good. The library is an excellent place to study and I love the library.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is very good. Some teachers go in another way so students cannot understand that. The course curriculum is good and it has a better future in semiconductors. In Amrita, the course is tough which we are studying.

This college is pretty good due to the faculty members.
Placements: This year, placements are low, due to the recession. I think the total number of recruiters is around 300. The top recruiting companies in my department are Cognizant, Amazon, TCS, etc. I am still perfectly not aware of this category of this form.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is okay as we are in the first years and we got a new hostel. It is still building more hostels for upcoming juniors for both boys and girls. Facilities like wardrobe, bed, light, fan, chair, and hot water from 6 to 8:30 AM are available. The quality of the mess food is okay but the taste is not good. Medical facilities are available. It has all kinds of sports like cricket, swimming, football, etc.
Faculty: All teachers here are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is parallel to the teaching track where they can help well in doubt solving. The teacher-to-student ratio is 1:65. In the second year, we will be asked to decide whether to go with higher studies in foreign or a job, this can ensure proper arrangement. Semester exams are quite hard to ensure proper way of grading.
Other: Fests named Anokha and Gokulashtami organised are the biggest and they are fun. I love electronics, so I chose this course. The campus crowd is quite manageable but not overcrowded. The connectivity is through airways, railways, and roadways.

Faculty members are very strict and we do not have free time to enjoy.
Placements: 89% of students get placed. The highest package is 59 LPA in ECE and the lowest package is 7 LPA. The top recruiting company for our course is Bosch. 50% of students got internships at Amazon.
Infrastructure: Amrita has the best working labs to work live. Classrooms are so good and hostels are also very good. It also has 24x7 electricity. It has 3 canteens and they also provide both non-veg and veg food. It has the best infrastructure. We have the best hostels compared to some IITs and NITs with 24x7 Wi-Fi. We have the main canteen and the MBA canteen. The canteen offers different kinds of food.
Faculty: Teachers are very friendly and very caring. We also have HODs of our branch. They used to guide us every minute without wasting our time and their time. We have the best lab teachers to teach.
Other: Our college organises some fests.

College is pretty good if you focus on your studies and you can enjoy the college life.
Placements: The placements are pretty good; around 75% of students got placed. The highest package offered was 30 LPA, and the average is around 9 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Texas Instruments and Honeywell. The roles offered are design engineer, communication engineer, and system analyst.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are good, with 24/7 Wi-Fi routers inside the hostel, and labs are well-equipped with good instruments and equipment. The library is very large, with good resources in every field of study. The food in the hostels can be improved; the same menu is followed every day.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified with PhDs and have pretty good knowledge. The curriculum is well-set for the students to prepare for their exams and tests well in advance. The semester exams are a bit difficult, but if you concentrate in every class and work on a daily basis, it's an easy job for you. The pass percentage is around 45/100.
Other: The college organizes two major fests each year: the cultural fest known as Gokulashtami and the technical fest known as Anokha. The college is more happening and fun during the fests.

Faculty: The faculties are highly educated and possess excellent coaching and teaching skills, which students utilize properly to achieve good marks. The curriculum is very relevant to the course and provides more ideas about the subject, with a pass percentage of 7 CGPA.

Faculty members have knowledge, but we are not completely satisfied with their teaching.
Placements: Only 30% of the students of this course are placed in 2024. PWC, IBM, and Bosch are the companies where more students were recruited. Flipkart and Amazon provided a high-salary package of 17 LPA each. Mostly IT jobs were offered for our course. Fewer placements.
Infrastructure: Good classrooms with decent seating facilities. Below-average internet connection. Hostel rooms are decent, but restrooms are not good. Good medical facilities. Hostel food is poor in quality. Importance is given to sports and cultural events with freedom.
Faculty: Teachers have knowledge of the subject, but their teaching skills are poor. Their behavior with students is poor. Too much favoritism is shown for their known students. Very boring teaching style and no creativity. Too many assignments and exams.

The highest salary offered was nearly 15 LPA and the lowest was 5 LPA. 95% of the students get internships with IBM, Oracle, Infosys, Codsoft etc.
Infrastructure: Amrita University provides modern classrooms, specialized laboratory, faculty offices as well as a stocked library along with computer labs having high-speed internet, separate hostels for both boys and girls, and a campus wide WiFi connectivity to access all the study material.
Faculty: The University has a highly qualified faculty having expertise in their respective subjects. Many yeachers holds advanced degrees of Ph.D. from reputed institutions and are often involved in research activities. Teaching quality is generally perceived to be good. Faculty members often use a variety of teaching methods including lectures. The course curriculum at Amrita University is designed to be relevant to the current trends and the college often collaborates with industry partners to ensure hands on experience. The difficulty depends upon the nature of the course. The college has high academic standards with the passing percentage changing according to the difficulty of the exams and the performance of the students. The college provides robotics and embedded systems.
Other: My interest in electronics and technology offering diverse career opportunities in industries such as telecommunication, electronics manufacturing and embedded systems brought me to this college. Enhancing practical learning opportunities through more hands on projects, labs and industry internships helped me a lot. Amrita university hosts a lot of events, festivals and technical competitions related to the all engineering courses providing opportunities to the students to showcase their skills and build networks with the peers. The university also has diverse students from all over India. Amrita university offers scholarships and financial aids to deserving students and provides a lot of prize money in events conducted by them.
