Review of M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering.

Placements: Medtronic, Abbott, Cyrix Healthcare, and Boston Scientific are the formal recruiters for the Department of Biomedical Engineering. Peculiarly for the crucial roles like biomedical engineer, Field service engineer, etc. The salary packages range above 3,20,600 LPA as the minimum.

Infrastructure: The innovative laboratories with all the special healthcare set up are built with all such necessary biomedical devices. Students never tense about anything on campus, because there are some primary responsibilities in all the zones. Everything was followed by us under certain rules of management.

Faculty: Teachers are purely professional in the field of biomedical and engineering, and completed a Ph.D. or other equivalent degree. All the teachers had significant experience in relevant biomedical industries, and the teachers composed the complex concepts into much simpler means.

Faculty and placements are good.

Placements: Placements are excellent in this college. Top recruiting companies are Dell, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Microsoft etc. There is a good scope of placements for CSE and IT students. The remaining students go for higher studies. There is a good scope of getting core job packages in this course.

Infrastructure: Our college is equipped with a hostel, excellent labs, digital spacious classrooms and a well maintained library. They provide a hostel facility in the campus. There are many private hostels near the college for the students. Food is average in the campus hostel. There is a good medical facility.

Faculty: Semester exams are a little bit difficult but if you study, everything will seem pretty easy. The teachers of our college are very helpful, experienced, resourceful, respective and creative. The faculty good quality of teaching for the students’ bright future. The course curriculum is updated regularly.

My honest review of my college.

Placements: If you didn’t have any backlogs, you were almost sure of getting a decent job by the 2nd year. The mass recruiters hired almost everyone without any backlogs. It seemed they had a tie-up with CTS, which was also a good option. Many small companies came for placements and offered very good packages.

Infrastructure: The mess food was really bad. Non-vegetarian food was not allowed inside the college campus. Mess food was vegetarian and mainly Kerala-style. It was not spicy at all, which was not suitable for Tamil Nadu or Andhra students. Hostel faculty members were good enough, and the environment was very clean. The first year focused on expanding the basic knowledge acquired in class 12 on microeconomics and macroeconomics. In the second and third years, there was a shift in the course structure as students learned advanced concepts of the two branches. Overall, the course syllabus was well planned out by graduation.

Faculty: Some faculty members were very talented. Almost all had completed their Ph.D. A few first-year faculty members had poor communication skills in English. However, I had a few staff members who were very talented in the first year. In the following years, almost all faculty members were talented.

Other: It was really challenging and good, with many opportunities to pursue our research topics. There were departments like CEN, mobile networking, and various others that helped carry out research-related activities. They also offered funding from various clubs in college for research if the project was really good.
