IIT Madras JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 was released for B.Tech. among other courses. In the General AI category, the last-round closing ranks ranged from 171 to 10290, with B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering being the most competitive branch for admission.

IIT Madras JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 was released for B.Tech, Integrated BTech, B.Sc in Physics and B.S. in Biological Science courses at the undergraduate level. The cutoff was released as opening and closing ranks. In the General AI category, the last-round closing ranks ranged from 171 to 10290, with B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering being the most competitive branch for admission. On the other hand, the least competitive branch for admission was Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, with first and last-round closing ranks of 6926 and 7433, respectively. IIT Madras Cutoff 2025 For General All India Category

For the students belonging to the General AI quota, the maximum rank required in JEE Advanced was 7433, for admission across multiple branches of BTech. Therefore, candidates who want to secure a seat in the core BTech branches must aim for a lower cutoff rank than the one mentioned here. For top branches, such as CSE, Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics and Electrical Engineering, among others, the cutoffs were highly competitive for admission. In the last round, the closing rank was 171 for CSE, 306 for AI and Data Analytics and 849 for the Electrical Engineering programme. 

For B.Sc. in Physics and B.S. in Biological Science, the JEE Advanced last round closing ranks were 3804 and 10290, respectively.

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam takes place in the month of April every year. Whereas, the application form for Session 2 will be available on the JEE Mains website. The exam is conducted by NTA.

For the SC category students in the AI quota, the IIT Madras BTech cutoff 2025 fell in the range of 43 and 2009, during the last round of admission. Of all the branches, CSE and Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics were the most competitive branches for admission. IIT Madras BTech in Computer Science and Engineering admission is based on candidates' performance in the JEE Advanced entrance exam, followed by JoSAA counselling process. For CSE, the closing rank was 28 in the first round, while in the second round, the closing rank stood at 87. Likewise, for Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics, the first and last round cutoff rank stood at 44 and 165, respectively. No—if you scored 44 when the cutoff is 45 in JEE Main, you would not qualify for JEE Advanced. Without qualifying JEE Advanced, admission to Indian Institute of Technology Madras is not possible, since IITs admit students only through that route.
