IIT Madras Cutoff 2025: Check Category-wise JEE Advanced Cutoff Ranks

IIT Madras JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 was released for B.Tech, Integrated BTech, B.Sc in Physics and B.S. in Biological Science courses at the undergraduate level. The cutoff was released as opening and closing ranks. In the General AI category, the last-round closing ranks ranged from 171 to 10290, with B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering being the most competitive branch for admission. On the other hand, the least competitive branch for admission was Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, with first and last-round closing ranks of 6926 and 7433, respectively. IIT Madras Cutoff 2025 For General All India Category

For the students belonging to the General AI quota, the maximum rank required in JEE Advanced was 7433, for admission across multiple branches of BTech. Therefore, candidates who want to secure a seat in the core BTech branches must aim for a lower cutoff rank than the one mentioned here. For top branches, such as CSE, Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics and Electrical Engineering, among others, the cutoffs were highly competitive for admission. In the last round, the closing rank was 171 for CSE, 306 for AI and Data Analytics and 849 for the Electrical Engineering programme. 

For B.Sc. in Physics and B.S. in Biological Science, the JEE Advanced last round closing ranks were 3804 and 10290, respectively.  

IIT Madras Cutoff 2025 For OBC All India Category 

IIT Madras CSE cutoff 2025 was 87 for the students belonging to the OBC category. Compared to the General AI category, the cutoff was more stringent to most of the couurses for admission in the OBC category. For CSE admission in General category, the cutoff rank was 171. 

In the OBC category, for admission to the BTech course, the last round closing ranks were in the range of 87 and 3160, with Computer Science and Engineering being the most competitive for admission. BTech specialisation with a least competitive rank of 3160 was Biological Engineering. 

IIT Madras Cutoff 2025 For SC All India Category

For the SC category students in the AI quota, the IIT Madras BTech cutoff 2025 fell in the range of 43 and 2009, during the last round of admission. Of all the branches, CSE and Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics were the most competitive branches for admission. For admission to the CSE branch, the cutoff closed at 43, while for AI & Data Analytics, the cutoff rank closed at 113.

IIT Madras Cutoff 2025 For ST All India Category

IIT Madras BTech in Computer Science and Engineering admission is based on candidates' performance in the JEE Advanced entrance exam, followed by JoSAA counselling process. For CSE, the closing rank was 28 in the first round, while in the second round, the closing rank stood at 87. Likewise, for Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics, the first and last round cutoff rank stood at 44 and 165, respectively. IIT Madras Cutoff 2025 For EWS All India Category

Candidates can refer to the table below to view the IIT Madras EWS category cutoff 2025 for BTech, among other courses. During the first round of admission, the JEE Advanced closing ranks ranged between 29 and

1619. Similarly, in the last round, the closing ranks were between 29 and 1731. Considering both rounds, Computer Science and Engineering was the highly sought-after specialisations for admission. 

Candidates not eligible for CSE due to its competitive rank can also consider Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics and Electrical Engineering, with JEE Advanced last round closing ranks of 65 and 198, respectively. IIT Madras Cutoff 2025 For PWD All India Category

For the PWD category students under the AI quota, the JEE Advanced first and last round closing ranks ranged between 9 and 227 for BTecg admission, across multiple specialisations. Considering the ranks, the top two most competitive specialisations were Computer Science and Engineering and Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics, with the last round closing ranks of 9 and 30, respectively. 

With a lenient cutoff rank of 38 and 887, candidates can also consider Electrical Engineering and Computational Engineering & Mechanics. More details are provided below:
