The eligibility criteria for the BTech course at Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) is that candidates should have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate. Aso, candidates need to clear the national-level entrance exams which include JEE Main, and JEE Advanced. Further, the duration of the course is areound four years. Eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official website of these national level entrance exams.

As per the official website, the IIT Madras BTech fee ranges between INR 8 lakh-INR 10 lakh, which is calculated based on the first year/ semester fee. This information is sourced from the official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. Apart from the course fee, candidates seeking admission to the IIT Madras BTech course are also required to pay the application fee to appear for the JEE Main 2025 entrance exam. • MTech: IIT Madras offers a two-year full-time M.Tech programme across various specialisations. The institute inducts candidates for the M.Tech programmes based on valid GATE scores followed by the counselling process.
• MBA: For admission to the full-time two year MBA programme at IIT Madras, candidates are required to appear for the CAT exam. Candidates based on their CAT scores will be shortlisted for the Group Discussion & Personal Interview (PI) round.
• MSc: IIT Madras accepts admission to the MSc programme based on a valid score/ rank in the IIT-JAM exam.

IIT Madras BSc admission is entrance-based as the institute primarily accepts the rank and scores of the JEE Main examination for admission to its full-time BSc programme. However, if candidates wish to apply for the integrated BS plus MS programme, then they can apply for admission through the scores of the IISER Aptitude Test. Therefore, you can join the BSc course at IIT Madras without giving the JEE.
