IIT Roorkee Cutoff 2025: Check Category-wise JEE Advanced Cutoff Rank

IIT Roorkee is one of the top IITs which offer BTech courses based on JEE Advanced scores. Candidates with various All India categories has applied to get admission at IIT Roorkee for top courses like CSE, IT, and Artificial Intelligence. The IIT Roorkee cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 5 for BTech, Integrated BTech and BArch courses in the form of opening and closing ranks. As per cutoffs 2024, JEE Advanced rank is 19885 for the IIT Roorkee BArch course for General AI category. For female candidates in the general category under the All India quota, 19354 was the closing rank. 

For 2022 and 2023, the Round 5 closing cutoff was 17464 and 20728, respectively for the General category students. So, comparing the 2024 Round 5 cutoff with the previous years, IIT Roorkee witnessed a fluctuating trend for BArch. 

The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) at IIT Roorkee other than General category are - 5783 for OBC, 3162 for SC, 1382 for ST, 2804 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

Under the Free Messing scheme, a student can avail of a free messing (only basic menu) facility and a pocket allowance of INR 250 per month. Such students are also exempted from payment of hostel room rent. In case a student does not seek free messing, he/she gets a pocket allowance of INR 1,000 per month. To avail Free Messing scheme, a student is expected to fulfil the following conditions:

• Applicant belongs to SC or ST category.
• The applicant is a student of BTech, BArch, Integrated Dual Degree (IDD), Integrated Master of Technology (IMT), Integrated Master of Science (IMS), and BS-MS programmes admitted through JEE (Advanced) or MSc programmes admitted through JAM.
• The Gross Income of parents (Father and Mother or Guardian) during the previous financial year is not more than INR 5 LPA.

IIT Roorkee BTech cutoff 2024 has been released across multiple specialisations. Based on the Round 5 seat allotment, the BTech cutoff scores ranged between 481 and, 7286 for the General AII India category students. Among all the BTech specialisations, BTech in CSE is the most competitive specialisation. The Last Round for Computer Science and Engineering is 481 for the General AI category.

Furthermore, according to IIT Roorkee OBC AI category cutoff 2024, the Last Round closing rank for Computer Science and Engineering is 236. In addition, the cutoff varied from 236 to 3549 in the OBC category. For more information, click here.

In order to be eligible to apply for BSc at IIT Roorkee, candidate must have completed Class 12 with a minimum of 75%. Moreover, interested students must qualify JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced exam. Admissions to IIT Roorkee BSc courses will be made based on merit in JEE Main+ JEE advanced and seat availability intake of IIT Roorkee.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 396 and closing rank was 412. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 164 and 1165. Admission to B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in IIT Roorkee - Indian Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE Advanced. Yes, you could get admission at IIT Roorkee with a rank of 150 if you belong to the General AI category. The IIT Roorkee JAM cutoff 2026 was published for round 1, according to which the cutoff ranged from 38 to 689. Hence, getting admission with a rank of 150 is possible.

To be eligible for MBA programme offered at IIT Roorkee, candidates need to possess a graduation degree/ professional qualification in any stream from a UGC-recognised university with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates). Final year students are also eligible to apply. The course is offered by the B-school under IIT Roorkee, namely DOMS IIT Roorkee. 

To be eligible for MBA admission at IIT Roorkee, candidates need to possess a graduation degree/ professional qualification in any stream from a UGC-recognised university with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates).

Apart from this the entrance exam scores are also considered by the institute for admission to the MBA programme. For IIT graduates the entrance exam scores are not required their admissions are completely based on their personal interview conducted in the institute campus. 

The high-ranking programs at IIT Roorkee includes BTech in CSE, BTech in Data Science & AI, BTech in ECE, BSc+MSc in Mathematics & Computing, BTech in Electrical Engineering.
