Absolutely satisfied. Placements are very good, which makes this a perfect Tier 1 college.

Placements: Honestly, 95 percent of students get placed in our department. The highest package is 1.20 crores per annum, and the lowest package is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, Deloitte, Jio, and many others. All students get internships in the 2nd year. Top roles are HR, product management, etc.

Excellent but dissatisfied with faculty and course structure.

Placements: This time IIT Roorkee is having the worst placement season with only 47 companies coming for this placement/internship season. 100 students are placed from the mechanical branch. Excellent infrastructure, but dissatisfied with placements and internships.

Placements: This year IIT Roorkee has the worst placement season with only 47 companies coming to the college. The placement cell is an absolute mess. They are not working properly, have little communication with branch DPRs, and limited interaction with company HRs for any further vacancies or offers that might be available if they negotiate. 45 students get internships from my course batch. The highest package is 10 lakhs for a 6 months internship, and the lowest is Rs. 25,000 for two months. Top recruiti...

Sometimes, prioritize college over the desire.

Placements: In the core branches, placements are a bit low, no specific companies are visiting the college for branch oriented courses. Students get job opportunities in different domains, in which they get average package of 5 to 7LPA, and the highest goes to 10 to 15LPA. PSUs like ONGC, BARC, and IOL are recruiting. They hire for the manager role and the system engineer.

A short review of IIT Roorkee and its earth science department.

Placements: It has good placement and internship opportunities for higher branches. For core, you have to maintain 8+ CGPA atleast as it plays a major factor. The highest package for our branch is around 25 LPA, and the lowest is around 12 LPA. Top recruiters are ONGC, Schlumberger, etc.

Aspirants must keep in mind that exam difficulty level cannot be determined by organising body. JEE Advanced paper is not made by one single IIT; but it is prepared by experts from multiple institutes. Difficulty level of exam is independent of the IIT conducting exam.
