B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2025

College review of BMSIT.
Placements: Approximately 85–90% of students from various courses are placed. But from my course, which is mechanical, 60%. The highest package offered is 20 to 25 lacs per annum, and the lowest might be 4-5 lacs per annum. Average package is 6–8 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is good; we have good Wi-Fi connectivity, labs have good quality equipment and are safe to conduct experiments, and the library has every book we need for the respective courses. I have not opted for a hostel, but my friends have, and they say it's good and clean.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, and every teacher is well qualified. The course curriculum is set as per the industry knowledge, and students will learn about it. It's the same as any college exam: if you write, you will pass; the pass percentage is 70 to 80%. Overall, the course curriculum and teachers are good.
Other: Apart from education or study, they even have clubs. For example, there is a club called Motorhead where we build arts and go to competitions to show our engineering skills and knowledge.

The college has really good infrastructure.
Placements: The placement status for our college is superb. The college ranks 3rd in Karnataka in terms of placements and academics. For my branch, the average package salary is about 4-5 LPA, whereas for other branches, the average package salary is much higher compared to other colleges.
Infrastructure: The college has one of the best infrastructures that any college can has in terms of everything, from classrooms to labs. The library of our college is equipped with the richest content and enabled with online journals, research papers etc. It has a special ground for all types of sports.
Faculty: It has one of the best faculty that any college can have. They are highly qualified and are always willing to help the students in their full capacity. The college has a different faculty for almost 25 students. Even associate professors of this college are PhD holders.

Review of BMS Institute of Technology and Management.
Placements: Almost 56% of students placed but only some of them got a good salary package of around 5 LPA. Only one or two got placed in a core company. Students who are in mechanical and they need to do masters or something else before getting placed into a good company, so most of them do not go for placements.
Infrastructure: The total area of campus is 21 acres. It has Wi-Fi facility which works fine except for some days. Classrooms are quite good and huge. There are lifts in blocks. There is also a general library along with departments own libraries. The sports facilities are not quite good except for indoor sports. There is a field where students play football, cricket or other games, and it is not a proper field. Quality of food in the hostel is not bad compared to other colleges in Bangalore. The hostel facility is provided, but only the first two rounds have a chance of getting hostel rest has to stay in nearby flats or PG.
Faculty: Mechanical department teachers are well qualified and experienced. Some of them are brilliant teachers. Some of them lack teaching skills, but they have good knowledge. Students will be able to relate to the practical world as the lab facilities are good. The mechanical department has a tie-up with BMW and Toyota for providing engines to the college for education. We already have those engines.

Lovely environment, great crowd, good faculty.
Placements: The placement scenario is good, I would say provided you have at least 60 percent or 6.75 GPA. Although only few students are selected by core companies, majority of them find a way to secure job IT field. Packages vary from 3.5 LPA to 12lpa depending on the branch and type of company. The college provides recommendation letters for internships for all the students irrespective of their academics. But only some are paid internships. The placement cell is doing a good job, they conduct many soft skill programmes. This helps the student to perform well in their placement.
Infrastructure: We have 21 acre lush green campus. The best thing is the college is located far away from the city with less pollution and no traffic. The campus has 3 main buildings Main block, Ban block and architecture block. We have 2 canteens, which provides good food at moderate price. The hostel rooms are well maintained, but only the boys hostel is located inside the campus. The girls hostel is 5km away from the college.
Faculty: The faculty is good, they encourage students but not all I would say. The physics department is the best in the college. The computer Science department is also doing good job. Recently they have started arranging meetups with Alumni students, they give the best guidance for the students. But not many for the core branches like mechanical.
Other: We have department fest and UTSAHA the yearly fest. The crowd is from all over India. There's no special scholarship but the topper gets 15k every year.

The duration of study in this institute is good.
Placements: Good placement facilities for the IT branches and limited offers for the technical branch. Overall, I can say there is a good placements in BMSIT. Because lot placements training will be given to each and every student, to develop their aptitude, verbal as well as technical skills, which will going to benefit a students a lot.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the institute is well organized and we'll structures. The labs and classes are very clean and campus is also very clean. Labs having the modern equipments and this can be utilized by the students during their final year Projects. Lot of opportunities for extracurricular activities too.
Faculty: The first impression of the institute is the faculty team, they are very polite and friendly. The method of teaching is very advanced, this will help the students to secure higher grade during their final exams. The course what we are learning will be focused on the industry specific methods and concepts.
Other: This institute is the platform for achieving something in the extracurricular activities. The students crowd is very decent.

BMS Institute of Technology
Placements: We got many IT companies (mass recruiter) like Cognizant, Accenture, HCL, Emphasis, etc. Most of the students got placed in some mass recruiter IT companies. We had a chance to hold two offers in hand. Everybody had one IT company's offer and trying for core company. Core companies for mechanical were very less, still, we had a chance to attend safarn engineering.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty cool and well-maintained. We have a good cafeteria to hang out, good well-planned classrooms with good ventilation. Laboratories are well equipped with ample amount of space for ventilation. We have grounds dedicated to basketball, volleyball, football, and cricket.
Faculty: Facility is highly knowledgeable and supportive in all matters. The way the faculty guided us throughout the course was awesome. They were very supportive and guided us to accomplish project work. Each and every faculty were able to finish the syllabus on time.

Best in and around Yelahanka.
Placements: The placements are good. I've seen companies like Wipro coming to the college for placements. The placement training here is awesome. The very first year itself, you'll have placement training where people from reputed companies train you on personality development, communication skills and much more. On top of this, you can attend placements from BMSCE as well.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good, actually, with greenery all around. There are 3 blocks, mainly, one, the academic block, second, the BSN block, and third, laboratory block and another one is under construction. So, the canteen also is good, and they have 2 canteens, one is the main canteen, and the other one is the small canteen for a tea break. So, the overall infrastructure is pretty good.
Faculty: Most of the faculty here are good. Our college management encourages the teachers to do PhD, so teaching is not a problem here. Talking about the curriculum, they have a different type of tests which is different from all the VTU colleges. In every internal test, we have 3 in syllabus questions (from the book) and two from outside the book but within syllabus, they are called case study and innovative, so this type helps us to think out of the box.

Overall, a good college to take admission in. If you want to get a job, it is a really good college.
Placements: Overall, the placement is good. Approximately 90% placement for CS, IS, and electronic branch. Placement is not god for mechanical, civil and electrical branches. Cognizant, Wipro, and Capgemini are the mass recruiters. Very few core companies visit for mechanical and electrical branches. Placement training given by the college is not good.
Infrastructure: BMSIT has the most beautiful garden. It has two blocks. A big library. All the labs are good and well-equipped. One basketball ground is there. Sports facilities are not good at all. There is a separate block for the canteen. Food in the canteen is good but a little expensive. Boys' hostel is inside the college campus but the girls' hostel is a little far from the college. Both boys and girls hostels are very good.
Faculty: All the faculty members are not good. Very few faculty members are good. Especially for mechanical, only 3-4 faculty members are extremely good and the rest are okay. They some how manage to complete VTU syllabus and give some important questions which are really helpful for the exam. Assignments are given on a daily basis. These assignments carry marks for the internals. The faculties of other branches are really good. Electronics department has the best faculty in the college.
