Yes, non-GATE candidates must appear for the institute level entrance test. However, all candidates are required to appear for the PI round for final selection. In addition to this, BTech graduates from the IITs with CGPA/ CPI of 8.0 or above (on a scale of 10) are eligible to get admission to M.Tech at IIT Gandhinagar without GATE. Yes, Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar conducts a Personal Interview round for both GATE and non-GATE applicants. Those who have not written GATE exam are required to appear for the institute-level entrance test. In order to apply, all applications must fill the form online. Candidates willing to apply for more than one specialisation must submit separate application forms for each specialisation. IIT Gandhinagar admission process is entirely based on the selection of candidates via popular entrance exams such as JEE Advanced and GATE, etc., for courses such as BTech and MTech, respectively. • BSc and BTech students from select colleges and NITs, respectively who will graduate in 2022 or have graduated in 2021 and are among the top five rank holders in the departments at the end of their pre-final year and final year are eligible to apply for Early Admit MSc
• BTech students from IITs who will graduate in 2022 or have graduated in 2021 with a CPI/ CGPA of not less than 6.0 at the end of their third and fourth year respectively are also eligible to apply
