IIT Kanpur College review.

Placements: Every single student who went for placement ended up getting a spot in coaching institutes like Physics Wallah and Prutor, with packages typically ranging from about 6 to 7 LPA. When it comes to math, it seems like a lot of folks are looking to pursue their Ph.D., whether in India or overseas, if we are talking placements, Statistics is actually doing better than Mathematics in our department.

Infrastructure: Talking about the colleges infrastructure, it includes all the basics, clean water supply, spacious Science labs, an auditorium for cultural events, and a playground for sports, there is also a well-stocked library and tidy classrooms. Students can take advantage of transportation and on-campus housing if they do not have their own rides, the mess is kept clean, and while the food is pretty good, I think adding more choices that students like would be a bonus.

Faculty: The faculty and staff do a solid job here. First-year classes felt a lot like high school, which made the transition smoother, the college does a nice job recognizing academic achievements and really goes out of its way to celebrate the top performers.

IIIT Kanpur College review.

Placements: Honestly, when it comes to placements for this course, it’s pretty much non-existent. Hardly any companies show up for recruitment. Now, if you look at other courses, though, the situation is much brighter. They actually have solid placement opportunities. And here’s a little silver lining: students from this course can still throw their hats in the ring for placements in those other programs. On average, the packages can reach anywhere from 10 to 15 LPA.

Infrastructure: The college has pretty solid infrastructure and decent amenities, You know, the on-campus housing is actually quite comfy and well-managed. A lot of students choose to live there. As for the food service, it’s okay, meets the basic standards, nothing fancy.

Faculty: The faculty here is just fantastic. Every single member really knows their stuff when it comes to their field. They’re super accessible and are always ready to lend a hand to students, the way they teach works well, giving students a solid grasp of the material, the curriculum is modern, and the test questions strike a nice balance, not too easy, not too hard.

Overall, satisfaction with the campus is high.

Placements: I am here to give an idea about the placement of an M.Sc. Chemistry student: It's pathetic; only 2 companies came by, and there was no placement for any student. Apart from this, if you want to do a Ph.D. from abroad, then this is the best place for you. Internships are not provided by the college; we had to find internships on our own. The percentage of students who got internships from my batch is, sadly, 2%.

Infrastructure: The facilities provided in the room are very nice, and the workers are also very good; they are available to clean the room. The mess also functions very nicely; it is very clean, and pest control happens often. The registration process was easy, and affordability is also very nice. Inter-hostel visits are also allowed, which means boys can come to girls' hostel and vice versa. Sports and extracurricular activities are so good that all of these provide quite a good opportunity for the student to explore themselves.

Faculty: The Chemistry faculty at IIT Kanpur highly qualified faculty members, and they are stringent about the timing of quizzes and exams. Exams are given to you at the start of the course and held on that date and time. Exams aren't overly difficult to pass, but if you want to top, then you have to study a little bit harder. But as we know, academics don't really matter a lot; we just have to maintain a good GPA.

Other: Techkriti, Antaragni, and Udghosh are prominent festivals celebrated on campus.

IIT is waiting for immense opportunities, just work hard to get in.

Placements: We are a batch of 50 students, out of whom 26 are placed this year in roles such as data analyst, data scientist, and finance, with the highest package of 35 LPA. IIT Kanpur has the record of 100 percent placement in the Statistics department last year. Students who got internship opportunities in summers received PPOs.

Infrastructure: The course structure is designed in a way that makes us industry-ready. We have data sciences labs, R programming, Java, and C languages in our course. The infrastructure in IITs is designed in a way that students get all their basic needs completed on campus itself. The sports grounds for all sports are available.

Faculty: The curriculum is designed in such a way that we get practical knowledge with theory. Regular lab sessions are taken by the teachers in which we gain industry work experience. The exams are not very easy, so one may not pass with just one night of studying. We have four-month semesters in which weekends are off, so we have to cover a huge syllabus in a short period of time, which increases the difficulty level.

Other: The life in the hostel is memorable for everyone, but IITK makes it more special by giving freedom on campus.

Students who are interested in pure mathematics should apply.

Placements: The placement in B.Tech courses is very high in comparison to M.Sc. The students of M.Sc. are usually placed in coaching institutes with a package of around 6 LPA. The placement of M.Sc. Statistics is better than that of Mathematics. The reason for low placement of M.Sc. Maths is fewer students are interested in it.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is amazing. The students are provided with all the facilities such as Wi-Fi 24*7 hours, sports ground, gym, indoor badminton court. The classrooms, labs, and library are equipped with AC. The electricity and water supply are also available 24 hours.

Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and experts in their respective fields. The teachers have done their post-doc in the best institutes of the world. The way of teaching varies from teacher to teacher. Some teachers take very tough exam papers. Some take exams from their class notes.

Other: The course comprises of pure mathematics. Applied mathematics and computer languages are not taught at an advanced level in M.Sc.

Take admission only if you love pure mathematics.

Placements: All the students who applied for placement were placed in coaching institutes like Physics Wallah and Prutor in packages around 6-7 LPA. In mathematics, most of the students are interested in doing their Ph.D. from India or abroad. The placements of Statistics are better than mathematics in our department.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure provided here is excellent. 24*7 hour Wi-Fi is provided in the hostels and labs. The library is opened till 12:00 in the midnight. A new core lab is opened till 2:00 AM where both Linux and Windows computers are available. The lecture halls are lashed with modern equipment.

Faculty: The curriculum for Maths involves pure mathematics more than the applied part and most of the teachers are expertise in their field and willing to deliver their best. The difficulty of the exam varies from teacher to teacher. Some teachers tasks the questions from their class notes while some ask from reference books.

Other: Campus life is full of joy. There are no restrictions in hostel timing. Even boys and girls are allowed in each other's hostels.
