IIT Patna BTech course is offered in full-time mode for a duration of four years on the UG-level. BTech at IIT Patna is available in eight specialisations which include BTech in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, etc.

IIT Patna BTech Admission Dates 2026
IIT Patna BTech BTech admission dates 2026 are scheduled around the JEE Main registration window. The selection of candidates will be based on the scores obtained in the JEE Mains.
The JEE (Main) dates are scheduled in two sessions with the first session scheduled between the months of November and January. The second session is scheduled between February and April. The fees for IIT Patna CSE BTech is INR 80,000.
For BTech and BS, the admission process is completely conducted by JoSAA after students appear for their JEE Main and JEE Advanced exam. For other courses, such as MSc and MTech, admission is subject to GATE and IIT JAM followed by COAP and CCMN Counselling. For PhD, students are required to appear for the admission test conducted by the institute for seat allocation. After the test, IIT Patna releases a merit list with the names of students shortlisted for PhD.
To apply for JEE Advanced 2025, candidates need JEE Main 2025 application number and password. This means only the candidates who qualify JEE Main for JEE Advanced, cand apply. Candidates have to login on the JEE Advanced application portal with JEE Main 2025 application number and password. Candidates have to furnish some details in the registration form. JEE Main details in the form will be prefilled from the JEE Main 2025 database. Next candidates need to enter the scanned documents as per the specifications.
