IIT Patna MTech Eiligibility & Highlights 2025

IIT Patna MTech is offered across more than ten specialisations. The PG-level course lasts for two years and has a total of four semesters. Artificial Intelligence,Power and Control, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, etc., are some of the MTech specialisations offered at IIT Patna. IIT Patna college honest review.

Placements: The placement in our college was very good as it was one of the top engineering colleges of India. The placement percentage was around 80 percent. The highest package offered in our course was 24 LPA. Top recruiters in our course were Larsen and Turbo, Vedanta LTD, etc.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure were top-notch for the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering branch. Wi-Fi facility, modern labs, and central library were present in the college campus. Hostel facility was also good. Washrooms were clean, fresh water was available, and a sports complex was present.

Faculty: The teachers were well qualified. All of them had years of teaching experience in reputed universities. They were very knowledgeable in their respective subjects. Teaching quality was excellent. Course curriculum was relevant to the modern industry. Students participated in various competitions that made them industry-ready.

IIT Patna M.Tech honest college review.

Placements: Placements at the institute are the perfect definition of it. Students generally become eligible for placement from the fourth semester. Around 300 recruiters participate, including top domestic as well as foreign companies. The average package for the M.Tech programme is 16 LPA, and the highest package offered is 1 CPA. The top recruiters in the drive include Microsoft, Oracle, Goldman Sachs, ICICI, Tata, and HCL. Almost 100 percent of students got placed. I plan to work after my graduation.

Infrastructure: Hostel rooms are good in all aspects. 24 hour electricity is provided, and an emergency generator facility is available. The hostel is neat and clean. Sweepers come regularly to clean the dirty areas, and rooms are properly cleaned every weekend. The mess maintains good quality food.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. Most of them did their PhD. from IITs or other reputed colleges in other countries. The first year curriculum is a slight mixture of all subjects and makes students industry ready in other ways. Semester exams are not difficult. The batch size is approximately 150, of which 15 are branch changes.

Placements: I am from the M.Tech batch of IIT Patna. Around 80% of students were placed. The highest package is 18 LPA, the lowest is 5 LPA, and the average was 9 LPA. Companies like Amazon, TCS, and Wipro came. About 85% got internships in DRDO, ISRO, and startups. Roles like developer and research assistant are offered.

Infrastructure: IIT Patna has good infrastructure. The department has fast Wi-Fi, modern labs, AC classrooms, and a big library with many books. Hostel rooms are fine, but sometimes not properly clean. Mess food is average, and canteen food is a little better. A medical room is available for health issues. Sports ground and indoor games are also present. The campus is neat and peaceful.

Faculty: IIT Patna has good Wi-Fi, a big library, smart classrooms, and the lab is also nice. Hostel rooms are okay, but sometimes cleaning is not proper. Mess food is not very tasty, canteen food is better. A medical room is there for small help. Sports ground and games are also available. It's quite good.

Other: I took this course because I like research and teaching. The best thing is the good lab and project work. Some subjects can be more updated. The campus has events, fests, and tech fests also. The crowd is good, and the campus is clean. Scholarships are given to many. Sports and club activities are also there. Connectivity by bus and train is okay.

My review of this college.

Placements: Placements at the institute are the perfect definition of it. Students generally become eligible for placement from the fourth semester. Around 300 recruiters participate, including top domestic as well as foreign companies. The average package for the M.Tech program is 16 LPA, and the highest package offered is 1 CPA. The top recruiters in the drive include Microsoft, Oracle, Goldman Sachs, ICICI, Tata, and HCL. Almost 100% of students get placed. I plan to work after my graduation.

Infrastructure: Hostel rooms are good in all aspects. 24-hour electricity is provided, and an emergency generator facility is available. The hostel is neat and clean. Sweepers come regularly to clean the dirty areas, and rooms are properly cleaned every weekend. The mess maintains good quality food.

Faculty: The professors are highly qualified, coming from both Indian and foreign universities. They have wide exposure to research and teaching experience. The associate professors and assistant professors have extensive teaching experience and teach us in a friendly manner. Students enjoy their teaching style. In the first year, everyone studies the same courses. Exams are semester-wise, where students have a few mandatory courses and some electives available within their department. One can also opt for courses of interest from different departments. For example, engineering students can choose management courses as their elective subjects. The course workload is heavy. So it prepares you for real-world work. Courses can be chosen from the 2nd semester, allowing you to select courses according to your preferences. There are minor exams, major exams, and many assignments.

Placements: All students have been placed in different companies and industries such as Mahindra and Mahindra, Tata Advanced, Google, Microsoft, etc. There are 100% placements here. No one students are unplaced. Internships are also here taken for different companies such as applied materials, Volvo, Bosch etc. It will good to join this college.

Infrastructure: All basic things are available in hostels like Wi-fi, LAN, etc. Central libraries are also there and facilities are Next level. So do not hesitate to join this college. There are many hostels are here and every hostel has its own mess and food qualities are very good in mess. There are many canteens and a night canteen is also there. Nescafe is also available here.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful for students and they have qualified different exams and they have lots of knowledge. There are different courses here and each student can join in each course. There is no restriction and this course helps in placements in industries.

Placements: In our college, almost all students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 46.38 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 11.8 LPA and the average salary package offered is 25.6 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Amazon, Intel, Rakuten, Samsung R&D, NTPC, BEL NXP, TCS R&D, Cognam, etc., visit our campus. Top roles offered are SDE, data scientist, R&D engineer, engineering executive, etc.

Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms are available. A central library is available. There is a huge central library under construction. Hostels are a bit congested. You can share a single room with other students. New hostel blocks are almost on the brink of completion, so it may resolve those issues. Mess facilities are average to good, tenders are given, and student communities decide on menus. The con is that a mess is assigned to every student in their respective hostel block. There is no flexibility to choose a different mess. One major drawback is that only 15 days of leave are allowed in the mess bill per semester.

Faculty: Our teachers are helpful and well-qualified. They are experts in their respective fields. The course curriculum is relevant. A few improvements will make it more industry-relevant. Semester exams are difficult, but consistent effort will make you succeed. Semester evaluation is divided into many parts, so you can easily pass with good grades if you do well.

Other: The course is in line with the latest trends in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science. Our college organises a lot of technical and non-technical events and fests. Extracurricular activities are good. Sports are held on campus. The campus crowd is excellent. The campus connectivity is good from Patna. The college provides intra-campus bus service as well as buses from campus to Patna daily.
