Good exposure and good facilities.
Placements: I am studying in the second batch of PGDM Healthcare management. The placements for the first batch have begun. Companies providing diverse profiles are coming on campus. As far as internships are concerned, 100% of students got internships from the college with varied profiles and industries like hospitals, Pharma labs and medical devices. Hospitals like Apollo group, Leelavati Hospitals came on campus. Several other companies visited the campus for the summer internships recruitment.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are well-equipped with devices required for presentations and seminars. Classrooms are spacious and fully air-conditioned. Good Wi-Fi connectivity is provided across the campus. Library has a wide collection of books and an automatic book lending system which keeps a record of every student's transactions. Infrastructure is pretty good and well maintained. Hostel is pretty good in terms of cleanliness and facilities. Cleanliness is taken special care of in the hostels. Mess and canteen food has a good variety and a blend of taste and health.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are Ph.D. holders and have experience in the industry. Teachers are always ready for providing guidance in academics as well as extra and co-curricular activities. Teachers have good domain knowledge combined with industry experience. Course curriculum is vast and covers all the domains in health care industry. Course curriculum is updated with the latest trends in the industry so that students are up to date with the happenings in the industry.
Other: Healthcare indusrty in india is yet an untapped industry and a lot has to be done in this sector. So its an ever growing sector which is only going to grow with the advancements in the technology and domain research. So I chose health care management due to it's booming industry need. There are several events, fests that happen in the campus throughout the year. There are 28 student driven committees which provide students with exposure to real scenarios in managing the events. Campus Crowd is very diverse in terms of educational background and the geographic background.

There is a student-driven culture, which is better for our growth.
Placements: The placement scenario of SIMSR is very good. Many companies come to our college to provide summer internships as well as final placements. All the big branded companies like JP Morgan, GEP, DE Shaw, etc. provide opportunities in the finance sector, whereas other companies like Puma, Shopclues, Nestle, ITC, provide opportunities in the marketing sector. The highest package offered for our senior batch was 30 LPA, and the average package offered was around 9 LPA. For internships, there are companies that offer stipends ranging from Rs. 90,000 to Rs. 10,000. The placement cell is very active and works very hard for the students to get placed in big companies.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available for the students in both campus and hostel, which is very good for our work. There is a library where all types of books related to academics, or novels or external knowledge are available. Also, there is a Bloomberg lab for our practical learning. For sports, we have an Olympic athletic running track on our campus itself. We also have a lawn tennis court, a badminton court, indoor squash court, and a grass football field. You will never feel any pressure as you have a lot of sports environment around you.
Faculty: Faculty members are very kind and very good at communicating and are easily approachable. The student to faculty ratio is around 6:1. The faculty members are very helpful, and they conduct some activities for our betterment. They want us to be good managers, and they will guide us for the benefit of our career. There are numerous live projects and hands-on projects for us to get a practical approach.
Other: SIMSR follows student-driven culture as it has different events and cultural events organised by students. In a city like Mumbai, you will not find any big campus like that of my college. The crowd is very diverse. SIMSR is in Ghatkopar, and being a Gujarati college in Gujarati area, you will not find any scarcity of food as Ghatkopar is a hub for Gujaratis and their delicious food.

Healthcare Management at KJSIMSR.
Placements: Placements at KJSIMSR have a track record of brilliant companies, with excellent pay packages. The Placement Committee of the college comprises of 2 students from each class and together they work day in and out to make sure all the students get their deserved placements. The highest salary in the year 2017-18 was 30,00,000 PA & the average salary was 9,87,000 PA.
Infrastructure: There are 2 separate hostels for boys and girls. Both the hostels have rooms that are single, double and triple sharing. The rooms have attached bathrooms. The campus, hostel, library, and computer labs are completely Wi-Fi enabled. The classrooms have LED projectors which help the students learn in a more efficient manner. The hostels have a 24*7 medical facility center wherein 1 doctor is available to attend the students at all times. The college has an excellent tennis court and squash court to help students remain fit. The college also provides yoga, tai chi, and kickboxing training classes weekly. For more enhanced sports exposure the college has an athletic track. The college also provides a wide variety of various other outdoor and indoor sports.
Faculty: The Healthcare Management course provides the students with the updated knowledge of how the healthcare sector works and polishes the students to face the organizational level changes. It is an AICTE approved 2 years full-time course in collaboration with Imperial College Health Partners, London. It helps the student to understand managerial as well as domain-specific subjects. The students get opportunities to do live projects with their academic partner for the course, K. J. Somaiya Hospital & Research Centre. This makes them ready for on-field experiences.
Other: The college conducts outbound activities to make sure the students interact with each other and communicate. The college consists of 28 students-driven committees that help the students to manage studies as well as extracurricular and co-curricular activities. The second-year students help and teach the first year students with all the problem they face be it studies or competitions. Guest lectures and interactive learning techniques help the student to be engaged with the peers and improve themselves. The college has its very own flagship event called Melange wherein eminent personalities are invited to grace the event, students from various B schools come and compete. It is a very good platform for students to showcase their talent.

Hi, Pragya sharma, so Health care management was a pgdm course started by KJ Somaiya in the year 2018.
So the first batch will pass out in the 2020. So we can't provide you with the average package for health care.
