KMC: A cradle for talent.
Placements: Although the placement is really good for the college but it is generally for arts based subjects, in Science we do get internships but there are no placements offered. The internships however offered are really useful and help us to understand our subjects even more deeply.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and currently it is being revamped as well so it is bound to improve. The hostel facilities are also really good including clean food. The overall infrastructure consists of big spacious buildings built in a great space. The college also boasts of two lawns.
Faculty: The faculty members are really good and helpful. Atleast personally for my course all the teachers were very knowledgeable and of great help. Not only they teach about academic aspects but also train us about other important aspects of life. The syllabus and curriculum is up to date and the teachers teach according. Along with theory we also undertake practical which improves our understanding of the subject. The course is also enriched with manyyy field trips.
Other: The thing I liked the most was the atmosphere of the college. The teachers teaching students are very knowledgeable. All the resources are available and you get all the benefits. Although you need to look out for: Sometimes the students behave very rudely The guards may bother you unnecessarily. So take care of that The hectic work schedule is something to look out for.

Kirori Mal College : Deep Insights.
Placements: Honestly, there are no placements in my course. Only one of my classmates got placed at Godrej, that too from another source. However, there is a Placement Cell in our college, and you can enroll yourself in that. The average placement would be 8L-10L per annum. In Botany, you have to either go for a Master's, and if you want to have a placement, you have to switch fields. You should focus on some internships from your second year to build your CV.
Infrastructure: Our Botany Lab is the best lab, and I would say that you are going to love it. The lab is well-equipped with air conditioning, well-ventilated, and we have many light microscopes, dissecting microscopes, and advanced microscopes. Our classrooms too are very spacious and well-ventilated. Both the lab and classroom have a projector. There is no hostel for girls in our college; it's only the boys' hostel. However, the infrastructure is very decent. They provide three meals a day and have all the basic amenities. The price of the hostel is around 65-70K per year, so yes, it's very affordable too. The hostel life, from what my friends tell me, is the best part of the college for them.
Faculty: There are 40 students in my batch and 10 teachers. The faculty-to-student ratio is pretty decent. Even the non-teaching staff deserves appreciation. They are so helpful and cooperative. I don't know how I would have been able to complete all those practicals if it weren't for them. The teachers too are very friendly, and all of them are very qualified and do justice to their role as teachers. Our curriculum is not botany-oriented. You could check the syllabus for Botany Hons. on the DU website. Botany offers other subjects as well, like Microbiology, Genetics, and Molecular Biology, which makes it easier to switch to any of these fields in a Master's. Also, in the Skill Enhancement Course, you would study Intellectual Property Rights, which will give you exposure to the field of law. Semester exams are of moderate level; you would be able to clear them easily if you are regular with your classes.
Other: DU is all about the fest season. Our college offers so many societies to provide you with exposure; there are more than 10 societies. They all conduct their annual fest in addition to the annual departmental fest. You would feel the fest season; March and April would be like a festival to you. I chose KMC as it's from North Campus, and I have zero regrets. I am glad I chose KMC. It's one of the prestigious colleges of North Campus. It provides you with exposure to the entire North Campus. The lane of North Campus will become home to you. KMC also offers NSS and NCC. In NSS, there are two wings: Sahas, the Women Development Cell, and Sahyog, the Child Empowerment Cell. It's all full of buzz.

KMC is a great option for the North campus.
Placements: The botany course does not give us direct on-campus placement opportunities. However, we can remain in contact with the placement cell of the college to get information about firms that are hiring and improve our chances of getting placed through the college itself.
Infrastructure: Facilities in the botany course are great. The lab equipment is in good condition for use. Classrooms are also spacious and ventilated. The college canteen is decent, with some particular food items being distinctively good. I haven't stayed in the hostel, so I can't tell about it, but I have seen rooms, and they are not in a bad shape.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They offer help at all stages, be it theoretically or practically. However, they are a bit strict when it comes to the submission of files and assignments. Semester exams are not really tough if we have studied throughout the semester, and previous years' questions offer great help.

My Kirori Mal college experience.
Placements: My course name is B.Sc. Botany honors which is not a professional course, so there was no placement in my course. Most of the times people opted for M.Sc. after completing B.Sc. for better opportunities in teaching line and for research work. Expecting jobs from B.Sc. Is not something which is realistic because their is no demand in the market.
Infrastructure: Top class, smart laboratories with all the equipment. Library is one of the best of North campus with a lawn and a famous Ashoka lawn for peer group and there is a boys hostel only in our college. My college is based on separate blocks of science, commerce and arts.
Faculty: Teachers are experienced with years of experience and there are also new recruits to bring in new perspective in the studies. Curriculum is relevant with good authors books. Teachers are also very supportive and exams are of moderate level which test the hold of the subject and not the memory power.
Other: Nil.

Review of Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi.
Placements: Around 4 students our placed out of 30 students. The average salary package offered was 3 LPA. There are many exposures to industries in this college. The top roles offered are botanists, scientists, biotech, teacher, and coaching officer.
Infrastructure: Hostel is available only for boys. The hostel is 50 meters away from the main building. It also provides a library. The food quality is good. Indoor and outdoor sports are also available. Our campus life is good.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful. All of them are Ph.D. scholars from reputed colleges. The teaching quality is better. Our course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry. They also provide practical knowledge to students. If you study regularly then you can score decent marks. The passing percentage is 33%.
Other: Our campus crowd is also decent.

Review of Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi.
Placements: Our college is good in terms of placements in streams like economics, commerce, etc. In our stream, the scope of placements is quite low, which is quite justified because B.Sc. is not a job-oriented course. They are designed to provide scientific knowledge. One can easily become a researcher or teacher.
Infrastructure: The college has quite good facilities on campus, such as a library with an excellent collection of books. Labs are good, especially in our department. Ashoka Lawn is the key attraction of our college. Only the boys' hostel is in the college. The mess and canteen food are quite good.
Faculty: Our faculty members are quite knowledgeable, helpful, and supportive. Almost all kinds of students, whether research-oriented, preparing for a government exam, or planning to start a business, will learn not only what is in the curriculum but also what they need to know to be successful in life. Semester exams are not so hard, which means you can easily manage time for side hustles.

I am satisfied with its infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Around 90% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 3 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1.20 LPA. The average salary package offered was 1.50 LPA. Almost 90-92% of students got internships in our course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are good. The laboratory is well-maintained, and hostel facilities are average. Mess facility is good, and canteen is also available. Games and sports are also available.
Faculty: The teaching quality is excellent. Our teachers are helpful and supportive. Semester exams are moderate, and students learn many new things. Our college life is good. The pass percentage is 90-95%.

A historical college having alumni all around the world, great to study here.
Placements: As this is a research based course so usually students go for higher studies rather than placements. The placements are usually provided by the placement cell which provides students opportunities and also prepares them for the interview and cv building process.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is not very high-fi but is of average level with well ventilated classes along with working fans. I would say that the labs are well-equipped with microscopes and other basic equipments. There are also water dispensers all round the college. The washrooms are clean and every floor has one washroom.
Faculty: The curriculum is well planned after all it is Delhi university that I am studying in. The internal tests and assignments are also well planned by the teachers in order to equip the students with the syllabus by the end of the semester. The teachers take regular tests and also teach according to the syllabus that is provided by the university.
Other: I'm pursuing this course because in the near future I would prepare for the civil service examination.
