Review of Miranda House, Maths Hons.

Placements: Approximately 25 percent of students in my course got placed, since a lot of people go ahead for a Master's and don't even sit for the placement round. A lot go for MBA or M.Sc. or abroad to directly opt for better job opportunities with better packages. So overall 1/4th of the students get placed.

Infrastructure: The campus is overall very pretty, and it's actually known to be the prettiest and the cleanest campus across all colleges. It always remains clean, and you would rarely see garbage lying around. The Wi-Fi though, doesn't work in a lot of areas, it's range is very low. AC is available in selected classes, like lab classes and all.

Faculty: Mathematics faculty of Miranda House is actually the sweetest faculty across Miranda House and even other colleges, they are very understanding and sweet. The curriculum though, is not very practical, it's mostly theoretical and difficult, so it isn't relevant for industry. The exams are of a medium level of difficulty. Most of the students do pass.

Other: I have really liked Maths since the beginning and it's a good course for me. I love the campus and it's very nice.

So peaceful, so beautiful, positive vibes everywhere. Safe space for many girls.

Placements: I believe only 25% of Maths students get placed, as most go for higher education. It is quite low compared to Economics. The highest package is 19 LPA and the lowest is 6 LPA, though these are not Maths-specific. Recruiters include DE Shaw, Accenture, ZS Associates, KPMG, Deloitte, PwC, Amazon, NaMo, etc. Roles are offered in analytics, consulting, finance, and policy research. A few students get VC internships, but that is course-neutral. No one that I know gets any other internship.

Infrastructure: We get Wi-Fi, but it works only in some specific areas. It feels more like a jammer in others. We have labs and nice labs, but there are not enough things needed. Classrooms are great. Some have AC, and some don't, but overall they are fine. The library is quite nice. It would become super nice if it had working Wi-Fi. We have a working lift, which is good. Canteen food is good, like any other outside food but a little better and bearable. We also have a medical room and a nurse available. Sports and games facilities are there, but it feels challenging to access them.

Faculty: Faculty of the Maths department is very good. They are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable professors. The course curriculum given by university is followed. It is pure Maths, so there is no link with being industry-ready. That's just the subject. Semester exams are quite easy, and everyone passes. Rarely does any student need to reappear for the exam.

Other: Miranda needs to increase connectivity with other colleges. It's nice to have a peaceful environment. It's a girls' college after all, and we care for safety. But real-world networking is also required.

A good college in terms of crowd, teachers, and exposure.

Placements: Almost 80 percent of students got placed from the college. The highest package is 19 LPA. The lowest is 3 LPA-4 LPA for the course. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Barclays, ICICI Bank, etc. Top roles offered are data scientists, data analysts, managerial positions, etc.

Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure for classrooms and hostels. The Wi-Fi sometimes lags in the classrooms but has good strength everywhere else. The food in the hostel is also good. The rooms are good. Canteen food is also great. Medical facilities are good.

Faculty: The teachers are really helpful in exams and in class assessments as well. The course curriculum is relevant and does make the students industry-ready in financial and analytical fields. The semester exams are moderate and the pass percentage is 33 percent. The course difficulty is moderate to hard.

Other: The course overall is good.

The best thing about college is its crowd. The campus crowd is amazing.

Placements: 60% of students are placed in my course. The highest package is 20 LPA. The lowest is 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Deloitte, Barclays, and ICICI Bank. 70% of students get internships. Top roles offered are Data Analyst, Consultant, and Finance roles.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. But there is still a lack of various things. There are few ACs, poor Wi-Fi, and only a few labs. The quality of drinking water in the college is the worst. It is actually not suitable for drinking. The price of canteen food is high.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful. Most of them are very approachable. Course is not too tough. Even though it is difficult, we can manage it easily. The exams are also pretty easy. There is not much difficulty in passing the exams. With a proper strategy, you can ace them.

Excellent college with a good academic environment and great campus life.

Placements: Placements are decent in college. Although many students in my field are more interested in higher studies and competitive exams, placements still provide a lot of benefits to others who are interested. The college also has a Placement Cell, which helps bring new opportunities for students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is great. It is functional and beautiful as well. Specifically talking about my course, labs are good. However, some laptops that can be used for practical work are not functional. The computers work smoothly. There are not many glitches in the computers.

Faculty: Teachers are really helpful. They are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They are always ready to solve students' doubts. Talking about the relevance of the course curriculum, it is a bit relevant, not a lot, but it definitely makes students more curious to learn and expand their knowledge.

Tremendously beautiful, nice exposure, beautiful infrastructure, and good placement and faculty.

Placements: The highest package from my batch is around 13.8 LPA. The lowest package may be around 3 LPA. The average package was 8-9 LPA. The 10% of the students got an order, and the others got government. Job. The rest went for further studies.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Miranda house is so aesthetic & beautiful. Wi-Fi is provided. AC labs with all facilities. The library is very peaceful, and all books are provided. You must try the PAM Cafe's burger. The hostel is very beautiful. Privacy is top-notch.

Faculty: Miranda's teacher was very helpful. You can approach them anytime. All teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is also good. The course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are moderate. There is not much pressure from exams.

Other: I opted for this course to keep Maths as an optional in UPSC, and this course helps a lot. The crowd in Miranda is super cool. The infrastructure is tremendously beautiful. Yup, you go there, and please give Pam Burger a try. It's very delicious. Events are kept happening. And the annual fest tempest is very entertaining.

It has good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: From my batch, many students got placement offers, but some students want to pursue M.Sc in mathematics because of their keen interest in mathematics. Many students from my course got internship opportunities. Some of them got the chance to do a vice chancellor internship, which is a very good internship with a stipend and certificate.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms are all good. There is a huge library with a ton of books. In the mess, the food is healthy and pocket-friendly. The hostel is big with beautiful flowers, which makes it even more beautiful. One can surely enjoy their time in Miranda Hostel.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, knowledgeable, and kind to students. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students ready to face any kind of competition from anyone in the course. Semester exams are not that difficult, but one must study thoroughly to pass the semester exams. The pass percentage is 33 percent, I guess. Not sure about it.

MH is a women's college with hostel facilities and many more.

Placements: About 60-70% of students get placed every year in different companies like Amazon, Barclays, ICICI Bank, Dell, Blue Ocean, etc. 20 LPA is the highest package and 7 LPA is the lowest package. Roles offered are data analyst, consultant. They offered roles in finance and in IT companies.

Infrastructure: Facilities are good enough as you can find a beautiful and open garden on the campus. It's a wonderful place to spend your precious year while studying. Large rooms are provided, with computer labs and chemical and physics labs well maintained with important things.

Faculty: Teachers are some of the best teachers, from my view. It can be hard in the beginning, but as you go along, you can see how helpful and kind they are. The timetable is manageable, and you can study for other exams if you want to. You can find many societies in college to join.

Other: Math honors was my first priority due to my interest in math, as I was good at it from the start, so I continued it. Math is a special course that provides various options for the future.

He/ she must score minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST) in the qualifying exam to be eligible for examination. Mandatory Subject: Candidates must have Physics & Chemistry as their mandatory subject along with any one from Chemistry/ Bio-technology/ Computer Science/ Biology in their qualifying exam.

It depends on the cutoff marks of every college respectively. There is no entrance exam for admission in B.Sc (hons) courses in Miranda House. Admissions are done solely on the cutoffs given out.
