NIT Patna is a very good college.

Placements: This college environment is amazing. Around 82-85 percent of students get placed in our course. The highest package offered in our college is 40 LPA, and the average package offered is 15 LPA. The lowest package offered is 5 LPA. Companies like Aditya Birla, Tata, and PhonePe recruit students from our course. Every student gets an internship in the 2nd or 3rd year through hard work.

Infrastructure: Facilities available in our hostel include Wi-Fi, drinking water, light, fans, and beds. Fully air-conditioned classrooms are available in our college. A central library is also available on our campus, and books can be issued by students. The quality of food served in the mess is average. Three canteens are available on our campus, and the fast food is good. We have a small ground to play different sports like volleyball, football, and cricket.

Faculty: Professors are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. All of them are PhD holders. Courses are relevant to industry needs. Besides, one has to prepare themselves too. Each semester has 2 exams, mid-term and end-term. Students need to score at least 35 percent in order to pass the course.

Absolutely satisfied because of good placements.

Placements: 92 percent of students are placed. The highest package is 27 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Google, Tata Steel, Amazon, etc. More than 50 percent of students got internships in more than 5 tech companies. Rules offered are full-stack developer, data analyst, etc.

Infrastructure: Even though the infrastructure is just average. The campus Wi-Fi, well-maintained labs, comfortable classrooms, and large library make a big difference. Since the library has so many books, students don't need to spend much on outside materials. There are transport facilities and on-campus housing too. The mess is clean, and the food is average.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified with many degrees and gold medals from top IITs and all. They teach and cover the syllabus well. The course curriculum of 2024 is relevant it is sufficient to prepare the students for the industry. Talking about examinations in a semester, we have two types of exams IND semester examinations and middle semester examinations, and viva voca is also there.

Review of NIT Patna - National Institute of Technology.

Placements: Around 70% of students in the Electronics and Communication Engineering branch were placed. The highest package touched 65 LPA, the average was around 14 LPA, and the lowest was about 7 LPA. Companies like Wipro, Deloitte, Infosys, and Cognizant were the major recruiters. Almost 90% of students in the 3rd year also received internships.

Faculty: Most of our teachers are highly experienced and qualified, and they truly focus on helping students land great placements. The coursework is really geared towards the financial sector, with a special emphasis on subjects like accounting and auditing. Simply put, the staff is talented and usually gets excellent results from the students. Most teachers are supportive and help students individual. But a few instructors are a bit strict and old-fashioned, which sometimes leads to issues like discipline problems or slight gender bias. Overall good campus experience I had in my college years.

My review of NIT Patna - National Institute of Technology .

Placements: Out of 198 students, 156 students got placed. The highest salary is 81.76 LPA, minimum is 7 LPA, and average is 17 LPA - 19 LPA. Top companies are Tekion, DE Shaw, Samsung, Reliance, Optum, Western Digital, ZS, etc. Very little students got internship offers, out of 156, only 22 students got internship offers from companies like DBOI. Top roles offered are SDE and business analyst.

Infrastructure: Hostel has very few seats. Also, it's not like hostels are very luxurious or anything. They are hygienic. Wi-Fi is good through. Surely, people will survive and if given the chance, I would like to stay. But there are a lot of things that can be fixed. College building and classrooms are average, not that good, I would say.

Faculty: Teachers are good and supportive. Teaching quality is also good. Teachers are well-qualified. The curriculum is outdated, so students should prepare themselves for industry standards. Semester exams are not difficult if you focus in class. If you are taking an IT course, stay connected with your seniors and seek their guidance.

I absolutely love being in this college.

Placements: Last year, around 92% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 72.54 LPA. The average package is 17 LPA. The lowest package offered ranges from 6-7 LPA. Students from my department, which is electronics and communication engineering, got placed in tech, non-tech, and core fields.

Infrastructure: Our college has a good infrastructure with various labs and machines. Sports facilities are average. The quality of mess food is okay and not that good. Classrooms are well maintained with a projector and mics. Wi-Fi connection is good, like 10-12 Mbps. The personal network speed is bad here, and there is a network issue.

Faculty: Faculty members in my college are knowledgeable, skilled, and highly experienced. Exams are not that hard if our preparation is decent. The course curriculum is good. The pass percentage in the exams is one third (1/3). It is divided into 10, 20, and 50, for a total of 100 marks.

Absolutely gorgeous institute because of excellent placements.

Placements: Around 75-80% of students from the ECE department are easily placed every year. The highest package offered in recent years has been approximately 56 LPA, which varies yearly. The lowest package is usually around 8.5 LPA. The average package for ECE students tends to be in the range of 12-15 LPA.

Infrastructure: Overall, the infrastructure is good. Almost every facility is available on our campus. Hostel and college lecture halls are well-equipped and maintained. In hostels, we frequently face Wi-Fi issues, but after many complaints, it has improved. Mess food is acceptable.

Faculty: Teachers at NIT Patna are highly qualified. They are Ph.D. scholars, and most of them graduated from IITs. They have a very rich research background and help us a lot in grasping concepts. The curriculum is relevant. The exam culture in college is very serious, with most of the students passing.

Review of NIT Patna - National Institute of Technology.

Placements: Before the recession period, almost 70-80% of students are placed. The average package is 21.96 LPA and the highest package is 86.53 LPA. The top recruiting companies that visit the campus include Atlassian, Google, Adobe, Microsoft, DE Shaw, etc. Placements at NIT Patna are average, but this year, it has worsened due to the recession. This year, the mechanical branch has almost 100% placements, while the CS branch placements are good.

Infrastructure: The basic facilities at the old campus of NIT Patna are good. At the new campus in the Bihar region, facilities are in very poor condition. Proper hostels have not been constructed, and despite this, students are being shifted to the new campus. At the old campus, labs, and classrooms are good.

Faculty: As an ECE branch student, I can say that the ECE faculty members are good, with some professors ranking among the top 2% of scientists in the world. Exams at NIT Patna are conducted very strictly. No cheating is allowed, and strict action is taken against anyone caught. Grading is done on a relative basis.

I'm satisfied with helpful faculty members.

Placements: Almost every student got placed in the corporate sector or enrolled in a Ph.D. The highest salary package offered is 68 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 8.2 LPA. Tata Motors, Reliance, Oriental, and others are the topmost recruiting companies for our course. Almost every student got an internship at our college. You can either join any coaching company or in the corporation for internships.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of my course and hostel is average. In my college compared to the boys hostel and girls hostel is not good. There are 4 floors only and the worst situation is that one room is shared with 3 more girls. There is a three seater rooms so this thing is not good.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, skilled, and knowledgeable, but for teaching, they can be rated as moderate. After taking labs of B.Tech students, I came to know that the approach of teachers is very theoretical, and students don't get to know the practical aspects of technology. Courses are mostly research-oriented, and they barely help students to experience industry-related innovation.

Hello Shyam, You cannot get the admission in NITs. 75% marks in 10+2 or coming under the top 20 percentile, Computer Science and Engineering cutoff 2019 is 13638 and for Electronics and Communication Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology), it is 20697.

Sure. If your are hard working. Many core companies come for EE like L&T, Alstrom, Havells, PSUs, KPIT, etc. Consultancy profile companies also come for EE and coding too, and if you want you can also prepare for CAT and GATE.
