 In order to submit the NIT Calicut MTech application form successfully, candidates will have to pay the required fees. The application fee for OP/EWS/OBC/PwD categories candidates is INR 1,000. In addition, the SC/ST categories need to pay INR 500. Further, the application fee payment can be done through credit card/debit card/net banking.

Admission to the two-year MTech courses in NIT Calicut is based on merit in GATE. The GATE application procedure is online, aspirants can apply by visiting the official website (gate.iitk.ac.in). Candidates with scores equal to more than the cutoff marks need to take part in CCMT counselling for the seat allotment process.

NIT Calicut has released the placement report for 2025. The overall percentage recorded in 2025 was 72.98%.  A total of 1329 students participated in the NIT Calicut placement drive, and 970 were offered jobs. NIT Manipur JEE Main cutoff 2024 has been released for admission to the BTech courses. During the Round 1 cutoff, the closing rank for CSE was 25886 for the General category students under the AII India Quota. Among OBC candidates, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering stood at 8750. NIT Calicut accepts JEE Main scores for admission to the BTech course specialisations and the BArch course.
