NIT Calicut cutoff 2024 for admission to the M.Tech course is conducted through GATE scores followed by GATE CCMT. Tabulated below is the Round 5 closing rank for NIT Calicut  for top MTech courses: 

Admission to the two-year MTech courses in NIT Calicut is based on merit in GATE. The GATE application procedure is online, aspirants can apply by visiting the official website (gate.iitk.ac.in). Candidates with scores equal to more than the cutoff marks need to take part in CCMT counselling for the seat allotment process. 

BE/BTech with a minimum of 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA in a relevant branch of Engineering is the basic eligibility for M.Tech at NIT Calicut. SC/ST/PwD category candidates need a minimum of 55% aggregate to be eligible for the course. Candidates whose results are awaiting can also take the JEE Main exam. However, such students must have the class 12 pass certificate at the time of admission.

For students belonging to the General AI quota, the GATE CCMT Round 1 cutoff scores varied between 351 and 731. For top M.Tech branches like CSE and CSE (Information Security), the cutoff scores stood at 731 and 694, respectively. Considering the first round cutoff 2025, other top M.Tech specialisations were Microelectronics and VLSI Design with a cutoff score of 647 and Electronics Design and Technology (600). For the OBC category students, the first-round cutoff scores for CSE and CSE (IS) stood at 694 and 671, respectively, under the All India quota.

 In order to submit the NIT Calicut MTech application form successfully, candidates will have to pay the required fees. The application fee for OP/EWS/OBC/PwD categories candidates is INR 1,000. In addition, the SC/ST categories need to pay INR 500. Further, the application fee payment can be done through credit card/debit card/net banking.

Aspirants wanting to take admission to the M.Tech course shall check the eligibility requirement. Eligible students further must take the GATE exam. Aspirants can apply for GATE online. Candidates who secure scores greater than or equal to the cutoff marks further need to take part in the CCMT counselling process for seat allotment.

NIT Calicut has released the placement report for 2025. The overall percentage recorded in 2025 was 72.98%.  A total of 1329 students participated in the NIT Calicut placement drive, and 970 were offered jobs. Talking about the placements, the the highest and average package offered during NIT Calicut placements 2023 stood at INR 50 LPA and INR 13.77 LPA, respectively. Hence, we can conclude that NIT Calicut is one of the renowned institutes in the country.

NIT Calicut GATE CCMT cutoff 2024 were published for M.Tech and M.Tech Integrated courses. As the M.Tech cutoff ranged from 355 to 599, we can observe that the admission to NIT Calicut can be possible with a score of 400 in 2024. However, there are some top courses like M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Information Security), and M.Tech. in Microelectronics and VLSI Design, where CCMT score of 400 won't be sufficient for candidates to get a seat at NIT Calicut.
