NIT Delhi Admission 2025: Cutoff, Fees, Eligibility & Application

NIT Delhi offers various scholarships to undergraduate and postgraduate course students as financial assistance. The below-mentioned table reflects on the various scholarships provided by the National Institute of Technology Delhi:

NIT Delhi JEE Main cutoff 2025 has been released for all rounds. The cutoff was released for candidates belonging to the All India and Home State quota for BTech course specialisations.

Among the General AI category candidates, the last round closing ranks varied between 6610 and 34683. Among the OBC AI category candidates, the cutoff for the same round fell between 2371 and 38294. 

Apart from the General and OBC categories, the cutoff was released for SC, ST, and other categories too. In the table given below, students can find the branch-wise NIT Delhi BTech cutoff 2025 for the General AI category for the last round, sorted by most to least competitive.

Candidates must upload certain imp. docs at the time of filling out the JEE Mains application form. Further, candidates must submit some of the original & self-attested docs at the time of physical verification of docs after the seat allocation process. The caution money for the mess & hostel is INR 10,000 each. The total fee amount is taken from the official site/sanctioning body & can change anytime. 

IIIT Allahabad accpets JEE Main score for admission to the BTech courses. As per the IIIT Allahabad cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for BTech ranged between 5924 and 9558, among which Information Technology was the most competitive specialisation. The Round 1 closing rank for BTech ranged between 4817 and 8428 for BTech. 

So, considering the previous year Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks, candidates seeking admission to IIIT Allahabad must secure a rank over and above 4800 and 9600 for the General ALL India category candidates.

To gain admission at NIT Delhi, candidates would have to first appear for the JEE Main examination and then for the JEE Main counselling process.

However, please note that the NIT Delhi JEE Main cutoff 2025 was published for various categories and rounds under both the All India and Home State quota; hence, cutoff will vary accordingly. 

JEE Main is conducted in two sessions each year, with session 2 usually held in April. For the current cycle, NTA had announced the JEE Main Session 2 exam dates, and the exams for Paper 1 (BTech) were conducted on April 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8. The registration for session 2 is now closed. Now, prospective candidates should wait for the announcement of JEE Mains dates for the academic batch of 2026.

For NIT Delhi M.Tech admissions, GATE scores are a must. For candidates who wish to apply for the course through the centralised d CCMT (Centralized Counseling for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan.) process., NIT Delhi follows the rules and regulations of the CCMT admission process that requires a valid score in the GATE entrance examination for admission in regular M.Tech PG programme. 

However, in some instances, NIT Delhi does accept candidates without a valid score in the GATE examination. But this admission procedure can be done if some seats are vacant after GATE -based admissions, some of the vacant seats can be offered to sponsored or part-time students. It must be noted, that to secure these vacant seats at NIT Delhi requires candidates to fulfil certain eligibility criteria i.e., candidates must have a certain period of work experience, a recommendation letter, certain scores in graduation, and might need to qualify for an interview conducted by the institute.

Yes, NIT Delhi does offer M.Tech courses for two years. The institute offers several specialisations in M.Tech courses, such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, etc. The eligibility criteria required for admissions to M.Tech courses are candidates must qualify for their bachelor's from a relevant stream such as MSc in Chemistry/ Physics/  Material and relevant disciplines for admissions to M.Tech in Industrial Chemistry, BE/ BTech/ BSc (Engineering)/ MCA/  MSc in Mathematics, Statistics, Computing for M.Tech in Mathematics Computing, etc.

The application process of NIT Delhi is same for all the candidates. NIT Delhi application process is online. The institute accepts JEE Main scores for admission to its BTech programme. Admissions to NIT Delhi are granted through the JoSAA counselling. Candidates who want to pursue higher education from NIT Delhi must appear for the course-specific entrance exams accepted by the institute.
