A few more updates are given below:
- The IIT JAM 2026 second admission list has been declared for admission to the MSc course. Students can pay the seat booking fee online till Jun 11, 2026.
- The GATE CCMT 2026 Round 1 counselling seat allotment results will be out on Jun 12, 2026, for admission to the MTech course.
- The JoSAA counselling registrations have started for admission to the BE/BTech course. The last date to register is Jun 11, 2026 (5 PM). Also, the round 1 seat allotment result will be out on Jun 13, 2026.
- The GATE CCMN 2026 Round 1 seat allotment results will be out on Jun 12, 2026, for admission to the MSc course.

NIT Meghalaya BTech programme isn’t ranked internationally. However the BTech programmehas been ranked under National Institutional Ranking Framework, NIRF. NIRF is an approved by the MHRD and was launched by Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development on 29th of September 2015. The NIRF has ranked NIT Meghalaya BTech programme 72 among top engineering colleges in India.
The total fees to pursue M.Tech at NIT Meghalaya is a composition of many elements. Some of the prominent fee components are tuition fees, one-time deposits, etc. Apart from this, those who wish to reside on campus premises must also pay the hostel fees. The total fee for the BTech programme at NIT Meghalaya is INR 1.4 lakh. Total fee is calculated based on annual/ semester fee available for the academic year 2024, hence is indicative. ST/SC & PH students are fully exempted from paying tuition fees, while the most economically backward students (whose family income is less than INR 1.00 Lacs per annum) are granted full remission of the tuition fee. Other economically backward students, whose family income falls between INR1.00 to 5.00 Lacs per annum, are granted a remission of 2/3rd of the tuition fee.
The total tuition fee of PhD at NIT Meghalaya is INR 69,500. This number is taken from the official sources of colleges. It can change. Candidates need to pay the course fee to confirm admission.

MSc seat allocation for MSc is done via the CCMN counselling. Candidates must participate in the CCMN counselling where they release cutoff for selection of students. The CCMN Counselling 2023 for the three specialisations was concluded after Round 5. The CCMN R1 (Closing Rank) in Physics stood at 1746, in Mathematics it was 1475, and finally in Chemistry it was 1539 for 2023.
