During the previous year RNS Institute of Technology cutoff, the cutoff for MBA based on Karnataka PGCET rank stood  around 1340 for General All India category students. The institute also offers admission to MBA through KMAT. The KMAT score stood at around 108 in the previous years cutoff. The R.N.S. Institute of Technology last-round cutoff, the closing ranks for BTech ranged between 8222 and 153918. During R.N.S. Institute of Technology cutoff 2023, B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering was the most competitive specialisation with a closing rank of 8222 in the last round. In 2023 and 2022, the last round closing rank for B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering there were 8150 and 5651.

The fee structure is quite simple at RNSIT. It depends how you enter the college (i.e CET, comedk, management ). If you go through CET it is, the fixed government amount+ around 20 thousand which adds to miscellaneous causes.Comedk is also similiar. Management seat fees varies according to the branch you want, it's usually the highest for computer Science and engineering, Ec then comes information Science and the rest. Around 4 lpa. The lowest is around 2.5 Ipa and the highest till now in our college was given by Microsoft and it was 16 LPA for one student . There were lots of companies for our batch that gave packages ranging from 3 to 10 lpa. The packages described above are not completely from companies that have come to our college but also include pool campus opportunities.

The institute has not released the RNSIT average package details. However, the overall the highest package for 2024 placements has been released, which is mentioned below:

The RNSIT KCET cutoff 2025 was released for admission to the BE courses for various rounds and categories under the All India and Home State quota.

For the General AI quota, the last round cutoff  varied between 16199 and 258478, wherein the hardest course for admission was B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning)

The RNSIT COMEDK UGET Cutoff 2025 was released for admission to the BE course for various categories under the Home State and All India quota. 

For the General AI category, the cutoff in the last round ranged from 42678 to 92294, wherein B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering course.

The R.N.S. Institute of Technology Karnataka PGCET cutoff 2025 was released for admission to the MBA course for all categories under the Home State and All India quota. 

For the General AI category, the cutoff was 2336 in the first round and 30271  in the last round. Please remember that the cutoff for other category, round, etc., will vary accordingly.

Full-time BE/BTech programmes are offered at the R.N.S. Institute of Technology and last eight years to complete. Students must pass the JEE Main exam with high marks in order to be accepted into this curriculum. R.N.S Institute of technology offer a total of 1260 seats, where JEE main is one of the accepting exams for the college.

The KMAT structure has remained unchanged since the past few years. KMAT exam will have 120 multiple-choice questions to be solved in 120 minutes. There is no negative marking in the KMAT exam and no marks will be deducted for questions not attempted. There will be three sections in the KMAT question paper, i.e. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. Each section of the KMAT question paper will have 40 multiple choice questions which will have four options each. One mark will be awarded to the candidates for each correct answer. The exam will be conducted in the remote-proctored mode. Before 2020, the exam was conducted in the paper-based test mode. But since the COVID-19 pandemic, the authorities changed the exam mode to internet-based test mode.
