Rajalakshmi Engineering College has a private ownership and was established in 1997. It is located in Thandalam, Chennai. The college is recognised by the UGC and is affiliated with the Anna University, Chennai. 

Rajalakshmi Engineering College released its last round of cutoff lists for aspiring candidates based on the entrance exam scores, followed by TNEA counselling. The cutoff was released as opening and closing cutoff ranks across different categories for the All India quota. During the Rajalakshmi Engineering College BTech cutoff 2024, the closing cutoff ranks among the General AI category were between 6193 and 46008 in the last round. Due to high demand, a few BTech specialisations demonstrated more competitive cutoff ranks than others. The specialisation with the most competitive last round cutoff rank of 6193 was B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering.

Anna University exam dates change every year. In the past two exam sessions, Anna University has been conducting the TANCET exam in March for MBA and MCA courses. Anna University maintained the exam schedule in line with the previous session. The complete schedule, including answer key release and result dates, was announced in due course.

The TNEA 2026 dates will be announced in May 2026. Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu will release the application process for TNEA 2026.

Candidates can check the important TNEA 2026 dates like registration dates, random number release dates, Certificate verification dates, rank list release dates and counselling dates. The counselling rounds will include steps like Choice Filling, Allotment, Confirmation of Allotment, and Reporting to the College/TFC and payment of fees.

10+2 passed/appearing candidates can apply for TNEA counselling. Admission will be based on marks obtained by the candidates in the relevant subjects, namely, Maths Physics and Chemistry which will be reduced to 200 (Maths 100, Physics 50 and Chemistry 50).
